The Women's Council of Realtors, in partnership with the
, Triunf<VYMCA and Westlake Village Community Park, will host the "Your Home Away From Home" open house from 11 a.ni. to 2 p.m. Wed., Oct. 21. ·
The community and Realtors are invited to visit the new home of the Triunfo Y on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Westlake Village.
Participants will be provided with a progress view and an information packet as well as a trick-or-treat bag provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Residents of the Conejo Valley community will gain an 18-acre park and 60,000-square-foot YMCA in the heart of Westlake
Village. The park is scheduled to open in 2016. ·
The brick complex will house a state-of~the-art fitness center with child watch center, a gymnasium and an event center with a large ground-floor aquatics center containing two indoor pools and special needs locker rooms. ·
"This new facilitS' will provide a place for indoor and outdoor activities for the residents of our community in a spectacular location with incredible views. It will also provide much needed fields for our local S,Ports teams," said Ronnie Stone, Triunfo Y CEO and president.

Westlake Village, a city of 8,300 residents on the western edge of L.A. County, is the headquarters for several large corporations, including Bank of America, Dole Food Co., Fanners Insurance and Guitar Center.
Add to that list the name of corporate research giarit J.D. Power, which · announced it is moving this·.year f'roin its headquarters on Townsgate Road in the Westlake portion of Thousand Oaks to Russell Ranch Road in Westlake Village.
Dave Powedll fowided the firm in Calabasas in 1968. The company was headquartered in Agoura Hills until 2002.
Although the Power family sold J.D. Power and Associates ·in 2005 to the McGraw Hill Companies, the influence and success of the enterprise is still attributed to it fowider.
Today, J.D. Power has a dozen offices around the globe, including Mexico, Thailand and Germany.
About 200 employees work at the Westlake office.
Company spokesperson John Tews said the firm is moving because the lease for the space on Towrisgate expires this year.
J.D. Power will be 111oving by the erid of the year into property previously occupied by Bank of America.
Ray Taylor, city manager of Westlake Village, said the change ilJ' tenants woo 't add to the city's revenue because -tlie move "represents one office user replacing another."
He said the city is "fortwiate indeed to have (J.D. Power) r!!locate to Westlake Village, and we welcome them to the community."
