Sibusiso “Shorty” Mkhwethane passed his PLANT
SAFETY REGULATIONS ASSESSMENT and is now
qualified as a RESPONSIBLE PERSON. This will
enable him to take out permits on the plant. He is
just waiting for his Official
Appointment Letter to this effect.
Also, he received his LONG
SERVICE JACKET for 5 years
uninterrupted loyal service
along with Doctor Ngwenya.
Outstanding work from Brian & Nathi from
Matla regarding:
1)The H2 plant coding and redlining.
Due to their know-how and expertise
the issue was resolved quickly and pain free.
2)The Outside Transformer's electrical coding.
They are not qualified to do such coding but
still tried, Eskom and ABB are satisfied with the outcome.
We're introducing the Silly Billy Award where you, as
Ennead employees, nominate your co-workers for silly
things you caught them doing. So during the month,
when you come across some “silliness”, I want you to email
me at [email protected] with the full scoop. I'll keep
the nominations and by the end of the month I'll announce
the winner of the Silly Billy Award in the newsletter! And naturally
I'll include the details as to what they did to deserve the award.
Keep a sharp eye out and let's have some fun!
On 17 August all the supervisors (minus one absentee) got together at head office for a
pow-wow with Claudine, Nomkhosi and Liesle. The focus was on empowering your
supervisors to be the best leaders they can be for you. There was a minimum of
head-butting and a lot of laughs and the outcome of the meeting was a positive one.
Claudine represented Mpumalanga
at the Inter-Provincial Hockey
Tournament in held in Randburg
in August! Well played!!
th When? 24 September
Where? At the Hockey Farm
Time: 10:00 – 16:00
Who? You and your partner and your kidz.
What? A day of games and fun and laughter and bonding!
Why? Do we need a reason to get together with our colleagues and have a blast?
Food and transport will be arranged - just bring your own drinks or buy them from the club.
More information to follow…SOON!
Please let your supervisor know if you will come so that we can prepare a budget.
Jaco Botha got his
CMII certification
this month!
Nicely done!!
This is what some of the supervisors had to say:
- Great meeting for bouncing ideas and directing traffic! -
- Loyalty and professionalism to our company is key!
Anything that makes anyone unhappy just needs to be
discussed with management if it involves management. –
- If we know what makes one unhappy, we can try to fix
it. If we know what makes one happy, we can try to keep
it that way. –
- Too little time for all the issues, but affective.
Must do it more often…. -
Just a quick note to answer a question that seems
to be on many lips – the increases that Ennead awarded were not
performance-based - contrary to what the increase letters said. We apologize for the error.
