NINETEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME: BLESSED STEWARDS OF THE LORD I have always asked myself the question: what does it take to be a good steward? I love when as a church we talk about stewardship as a whole, sharing our time, talent and treasure. At the same time the reality of our lives, responsibilities and our anointing in our baptisms. If we categorize our lives as Christians and limit it to feast days and Sundays, our days of obligations; then it seems that we are cutting the greatness of our vocation and our call as a people of God. We are called to live our lives as Christians in every aspect of our lives. In our homes, work, society, politics, relationships, in all we do. Some people can act as people with many personalities, they learn to turn off a part of them depending on the environment they are in, but that shouldn´t be who we are at all. Christ calls us to be vigilant. To do all in imitating his teachings and examples in every aspect. That what we consume through the listening and in receiving the Body and Blood of Christ, may become a reality in our beings. That we may be more Christ like in that we pray, meditate, speak and act. We are called to the same person we are before God, fragile and blessed, as we also encounter our neighbor and the world before us. Christ also calls us to be prepared, we have to inform ourselves, know our bible, know our church teachings, know what the Pope is saying and the different documents that come about with themes that inform us about the signs of the times. Just as we have been printing “Christ is alive”, an apostolic exhortation for our youth, young adults and for all of us who want to give them the space they deserve within our Church. Christ also calls us to see our feebleness, faults and our need for mercy. I am reminded of Saint Paul: “In my weakness, I am great.” It is then that I am able to go the Father and ask; it is then I am able to go to my neighbor, stop being their judge and start being their brethren. Walking with each other, sharing our gifts and letting the world see in whom we believe. Be Blessed!

DECIMONOVENO DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO: ADMINISTRADORES BENDECIDOS DEL SEÑOR

Siempre me he hecho la pregunta: ¿qué se necesita para ser un buen administrador? Me encanta cuando, como iglesia, hablamos de mayordomía en general, compartiendo nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro. Al mismo tiempo, la realidad de nuestras vidas, responsabilidades y nuestra unción en nuestros bautismos. Si clasificamos nuestras vidas como cristianos y lo limitamos a los días festivos y domingos, nuestros días de obligación; entonces parece que estamos reduciendo la grandeza de nuestra vocación y nuestro llamado como pueblo de Dios. Estamos llamados a vivir nuestras vidas como cristianos en todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas. En nuestros hogares, trabajo, sociedad, política, relaciones, en todo lo que hacemos. Algunas personas pueden actuar como personas con muchas personalidades, aprenden a apagar una parte de ellas dependiendo del entorno en el que se encuentren, pero eso no debería ser lo que somos en absoluto. Cristo nos llama a estar atentos. Hacer todo al imitar sus enseñanzas y ejemplos en todo aspecto. Que lo que consumimos al escuchar y al recibir el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, se convierta en realidad en nuestros seres. Para que seamos más como Cristo en que oramos, meditamos, hablamos y actuamos. Somos llamados a la misma persona que somos ante Dios, frágiles y bendecidos, ya que también nos encontramos con nuestro prójimo y el mundo delante de nosotros. Cristo también nos llama a estar preparados, tenemos que informarnos a nosotros mismos, conocer nuestra Biblia, conocer los documentos de nuestra iglesia, saber lo que dice el Papa y las diferencias que surgen con los temas que informan sobre los signos de los tiempos. Así como hemos estado imprimiendo "Cristo está vivo", un documento para nuestros jóvenes, adultos jóvenes y para todos los que queremos darles el espacio que merecen dentro de nuestra Iglesia. Cristo también nos llama a ver nuestra debilidad, faltas y nuestra necesidad de misericordia. Me recuerda a San Pablo: "En mi debilidad, soy grandioso". Es entonces cuando puedo ir al Padre y preguntar; Es entonces cuando puedo ir a mi vecino, dejar de ser su juez y comenzar a ser sus hermanos. Caminando entre nosotros, compartiendo nuestros dones y dejando que el mundo vea en quién creemos.¡Estén bendecidos!

Christ is Alive: Synthesis of the Apostolic Exhortation - Part XV Chapter nine: “Discernment” (Last chapter) The Pope recalls that: “Without the wisdom of discernment, we can easily become prey to every passing trend” (279). “A particular form of discernment involves the effort to discover our own vocation. Since this is a very personal decision that others cannot make for us, it requires a certain degree of solitude and silence” (283). “A vocation, while a gift, will undoubtedly also be demanding. God’s gifts are interactive; to enjoy them we have to be ready to take risks” (289). Three sensitivities are required of those who help young people in their discernment. “The first kind of sensitivity is directed to the individual. It is a matter of listening to someone who is sharing his very self in what he says” (292). “The second kind of sensitivity is marked by discernment. It tries to grasp exactly where grace or temptation is present” (293). “The third kind of sensitivity is the ability to perceive what is driving the other person”, discerning “the direction in which that person truly wants to move” (294). “When we listen to others in this way, at a certain moment we ourselves have to disappear in order to let the other person follow the path he or she has discovered. We have to vanish as the Lord did from the sight of his disciples in Emmaus” (296). We need “to encourage and accompany processes, without imposing our own roadmaps. For those processes have to do with persons who remain always unique and free. There are no easy recipes” (297). The exhortation concludes with “a wish” from Pope Francis: “Dear young people, my joyful hope is to see you keep running the race before you, outstripping all those who are slow or fearful. Keep running, “attracted by the face of Christ, whom we love so much, whom we adore in the Holy Eucharist and acknowledge in the flesh of our suffering brothers and sisters. The Church needs your momentum, your intuitions, your faith… And when you arrive where we have not yet reached, have the patience to wait for us”.

Capítulo nueve: "Discernimiento" (Último capítulo)

El Papa recuerda que: "Sin la sabiduría del discernimiento, fácilmente podemos ser presa de todas las tendencias pasajeras" (279). “Una forma particular de discernimiento implica el esfuerzo de descubrir nuestra propia vocación. Dado que esta es una decisión muy personal que otros no pueden tomar por nosotros, requiere un cierto grado de soledad y silencio ”(283). “Una vocación, aunque sea un regalo, sin duda también será exigente. Los dones de Dios son interactivos; para disfrutarlos tenemos que estar preparados para correr riesgos ”(289). Se requieren tres sensibilidades para quienes ayudan a los jóvenes en su discernimiento. “El primer tipo de sensibilidad se dirige al individuo. Se trata de escuchar a alguien que se comparte en lo que dice ”(292). “El segundo tipo de sensibilidad está marcado por el discernimiento. Trata de comprender exactamente dónde está presente la gracia o la tentación ”(293). "El tercer tipo de sensibilidad es la capacidad de percibir lo que impulsa a la otra persona", discerniendo "la dirección en la que esa persona realmente quiere moverse" (294). “Cuando escuchamos a los demás de esta manera, en cierto momento tenemos que desaparecer para dejar que la otra persona siga el camino que ha descubierto. Tenemos que desaparecer como lo hizo el Señor de la vista de sus discípulos en Emaús ”(296). Necesitamos "alentar y acompañar procesos, sin imponer nuestras propias hojas de ruta. Porque esos procesos tienen que ver con personas que permanecen siempre únicas y libres. No hay recetas fáciles ”(297). La exhortación concluye con "un deseo" del Papa Francisco: "Queridos jóvenes, mi alegre esperanza es verte seguir corriendo la carrera antes que tú, superando a todos los que son lentos o temerosos. Sigue corriendo, “atraídos por el rostro de Cristo, a quien amamos tanto, a quien adoramos en la Sagrada Eucaristía y reconocemos en la carne de nuestros hermanos y hermanas que sufren. La Iglesia necesita tu impulso, tus intuiciones, tu fe ... Y cuando llegues a donde aún no hemos llegado, ten paciencia para esperarnos ”.

Be you, Lord, our gratitude for calling us to this state of life to be continually loving our neighbor, yes, to this state and profession of surrender to this love, engaged in the current exercise or in disposition of it, abandoning even any other occupation for and devote ourselves to charitable works! Religious are said to be in a state of perfection; We are not religious, but we can say that we are in a state of charity, since we are continuously engaged in the real practice of love or in disposition of it. Oh Savior! How happy I am to be in a state of love for your neighbor, in a state that speaks of you, begs you and constantly introduces you to what I do for him! Grant me the grace to know my bliss and to love this blessed state very much, so that I can contribute in this way to this virtue appearing in the company now, tomorrow and forever. Amen.”

Baptism preparation class for parents and Godparents are held on the Tuesday prior to the Baptism Sunday. Parent(s) or Godparent(s), please bring an original birth certificate of the child to the main office where you can begin the process of registration for this beautiful sacrament.

Children’s Faith Formation ages 7 yrs. to 15 yrs. (Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation) Our Children’s Faith Formation program provides preparation of the Holy Sacraments for children. The program follows Diocesan Guidelines for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children. The hours for children's faith formation classes are Sunday, 9:30 A.M. -1:00 P.M.

Pentecost Confirmation 16 yrs. and older Are you baptized and received First Holy Communion but have not completed the Sacrament of Confirmation and you are over the age of 16? Our Confirmation only program begins in January in preparation for Pentecost Confirmation typically at the end of May or beginning of June.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) (Becoming a Catholic)

Are you baptized? Have you received First Holy Communion? Are you Confirmed? Adults and youth at least 16 yrs. of age seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church are invited to enter into a process of faith formation. RCIA classes are all year round.

LOS SACRAMENTOS Bautismo para bebes nacimiento a 6 años

Los bautismos para bebes se celebran el primer domingo de cada mes. La clase de preparación del bautismo para los padres y padrinos es el martes antes del domingo del bautismo. Padres o Padrinos, traiga el certificado de nacimiento original del niño a la oficina principal donde pueden comenzar el proceso de inscripción para este hermoso sacramento.

Formación de Fe para Niños 7 años hasta 15 años (Bautismo, Primera Comunión, Confirmación) El programa de formación de fe para nuestros niños se prepara los niños para sus Sacramentos. El programa sigue las Directrices Diocesanas para el Rito de Iniciación Cristiana de los Niños. Las horas para las clases son domingo, 9:30 A.M. -1:00 P.M.

Confirmación de Pentecostés 16 años y adelante ¿Se ha bautizado y recibido la Primera Comunión pero no ha completado el Sacramento de la Confirmación y tiene más de 16 años de edad? Nuestro programa de Confirmación solo comienza en enero en preparación para la Confirmación de Pentecostés típicamente en mayo o junio.

Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos: R.I.C.A. (Convertirse Católico)

¿Está bautizado? ¿Has recibido la Primera Comunión? ¿Está Confirmado? Se invita a los adultos y jóvenes 16 años y adelante, que buscan la iniciación completa en la Iglesia Católica para entrar en un proceso de formación de fe. Las clases de R.I.C.A. son todo el año.
