Dear Family,
Peace to you and your household from God Our Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ! This next week your pas-
tor will be on vacation, which will really be more of a staycation. I will be welcoming my friend Rev. Sean
Dooley, Pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Columbus, Ohio. Fr. Dooley and I attended seminary at the
Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus. This is where I spent my first three years of formation, before
finishing my education at Mount Angel Seminary in Western Oregon. We will be spending some time driv-
ing around the state and spend a few days here at home, which Fr. Dooley likes very much. This will be the
last of my holidays for the year. Each year, every priest is given four weeks of vacation by canon law, not
including travel for work and ministry. This coming weekend our presider will again be Fr. Gabriel of the
Sons of the Holy Family. Please pray that this time is one of renewal for me before getting back to celebrate
with you the great seasons of Advent & Christmas, as well as our community’s feast day in December. Know
I ever love you and pray for you all.
In his joy, Fr Daniel
