Nine First Fridays Devotion

Come and join us for the Nine First Fridays Devotion. Mass will be celebrated at 8:00 AM and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place all day until 8:00 PM. Please come and join us for Mass and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

First Friday Mass: 8:00 am Adoration: 8:30 am to 8:00 pm (see sign up sheet in the Church)

Following are the promises that our Lord made to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque for all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months: "I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life. I will establish peace in their homes. I will comfort them in all their afflictions. I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death. I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings. Sinners will find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy. Lukewarm souls shall become fervent. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection. I will bless every place in which an image of my Heart is exposed and honored. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts. Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart. I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment."

100th

Anniversary of

Our Lady Of

Fatima

May 13th

(13th Of Every Month)

8:00 AM Mass

Please join us to celebrate the 100th Year Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima on the 13th of the Month starting May 13th through October 13th. Rosary After Mass with Fatima Prayers and Veneration of our new Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. Come & join us and receive the Indulgence granted by the Holy Father.

From the Desk of Father Ed: Dear Parishioners, Today we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Easter. In our Gospel this weekend Jesus was preparing his disciples for his Passion and death. He told them not to be afraid and that he was going to prepare a place for them in his kingdom and would come back and take them to himself. He made this promise because He is the way, the truth, and the life. He makes the same promise to us; there is a place in the kingdom of heaven that our Lord has prepared for us. Let us turn to our Blessed Mother that she may help us to remain faithful to the Lord and grow in holiness.

This weekend at all the Masses for Mother’s Day we have included a special blessing for all mothers. It is one way that we can show them our love and appreciation by calling upon the Lord to bless and help them. This weekend the Bishop has asked that we consecrate our parish and ourselves to our Blessed Mother as we celebrate both the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima and Mother’s Day. Special thanks to our Bishop for choosing our parish to host the Diocesan Crowning of Mary, especially during the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. I also want to thank the Knights of Columbus for their presence at the Crowning of Mary and for providing the hospitality after the prayer service. Congratulations to our seminarian, Dulibber Gonzalez who was ordained a Transitional Deacon on Saturday, May 13th.

How fitting that our Bishop chose to celebrate the Crowning of Mary one day after the 100th anniversary of our Lady of Fatima at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. When Our Blessed Mother appeared to the three young shepherd children in Portugal she asked them to sacrifice and pray the rosary so that there would be peace in our world. The message that was given to the three children 100 years ago is very relevant today. We too need to sacrifice and pray the rosary if we want to see peace in our world. Let us turn to our Blessed Mother with the weapon of peace in our hands, the rosary, so that she may triumph and peace reign in our hearts and in our world.

Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for us, Father Ed, Pastor
