FROM FATHER STEVE...

Happy October everyone! We have quite a busy month here at the

parish! A lot of wonderful stuff happening here at the parish!

Thank you very much for your prayers for my family. Sorry I

missed you last weekend. The staff did a super job getting coverage

last weekend. I am so deeply grateful for them. This weekend is our

WalkaThon. The proceeds from this event will help remodel

Room 104. So far, we received several donations for this project.

God bless all the feet that are participating in the WalkaThon and

God bless all the sponsors. Monday, October 4th at 6:30PM is our

Pet Blessing! Be sure to bring your fourlegged friends to the parish

for this fun outdoor event. This is such a fun event for our families

and I hope it is fun for all the pets too! Next weekend is the Knights

of Columbus Sock Drive for Birthright and SVDP’s Blanket

Sunday. Your donation to warm bodies and feet will make a big

difference and warm a lot of heart too! Recently our KofC and

SVDP worked together at the recent Fill The Cruiser at Petie's

Restaurant on September 25

th

from8AM to 4PM. KofC members

Randy Higgins, Tom Masterson, Mark Blase and Jim Sisler teamed

up with SVDP members Terri Eubanks, Christine Panchur, Sherry

Landry, Sharon Woltman on this event. Also helping at this event

from the KofC and SVDP were Larry Howald, Greg Tabar and

Jim O'Connor. The Fill the Cruiser was a huge success. Great job

SVDP & KofC! I must say our SVDP and KofC have become an

unbeatable combination! They are like the Browns backfield of

service! Our local KofC council,Magnificat Council #4498,will be

holding a membership drive at all Masses the weekends of October

9

th

& 10

th

and October 16

th

& 17

th

. Whether you become an individ-

ual member or a member of our council you will find that Knights

of Columbus membership brings Catholic men together in a power-

ful way. If you would like to join, simply go to KofC.org/joinus and

enter our council #4498 for local information. Our outdoor only

Trunk or Treat is October 23

rd

from 6PM to 7PM. Car registra-

tions are underway. Please know we are accepting donations of

candy for the event. You can drop off your bags of candy at the

Parish Office during business hours. Saint Medard, pray for us!

Our Bible Study Program Revelation: The Kingdom Yet To

Become begins Monday, October 11

th

at 7PM in the Kaminski

Center. Pam Anthony will be facilitating the program. In this study,

presenter Jeff Cavins pulls back the veil on the symbolism present

in Revelation. Discover what the mysterious figures and images of

Revelation mean and see how Revelation is more than an apocalyp-

tic vision of the “end times.” To sign up, contact Pam Anthony at

[email protected]. Due to COVID19, spacing is limited to

18 parishioners. Lastly, October 10

th

is Coast to Coast Rosary. We

will begin promptly at 4PM. Have a blessed week!

What’s New at All Saints School

The first graders’ year is off to a super start! We are

learning to master our daily prayers and rounes. We

are making new friends and have learned so much in

such a few short weeks!

We had a fabulous Apple Day! Each first grader

brought an apple to school and they were weighed to

determine who had the heaviest and lightest apple.

We grouped them based on their characteriscs. Lots

of apple stories were read. We learned the different

parts of an apple. The children really enjoyed seeing

how the seed chamber forms a star. We esmated

how many seeds our apple would have, then they

were cut opened and the seeds were graphed. We, of

course, enjoyed eang them.

The first graders remember

the St. Mary Magdalene

community in our daily

prayers. We are grateful for

your support. God bless you
