Allow me to update you on the Generations of Faith Campaign. Our parish goal is $940,000. As of this weekend we have almost 1.8 million dollars pledged from 690 families! Truly this is amazing!!! I would like to thank – in the name of the parish and diocese- all those who gave so generously. Now the hard part begins…..we have begun meetings with architects and engineers to plan the major work on the tower and church roof. Once the work begins, I believe it will take about two years to complete. At the same time, we will be working on air conditioning the main church. In three years – 2019—I expect the exterior and interior work on the church to be complete. We will ONLY be able to start and complete this important work if everyone is faithful to their pledges. In the next month you will begin to receive notices to pay your pledge. Please use the envelopes and cards you receive in the mail and send it directly to the address provided – not in the collection or to the parish. And of course, please do not send any cash: check or money order. This effort is another reminder that when we work together…great things can happen! Queridos amigos, Permítanme informarles sobre las Generaciones de Campaña Fe. Nuestro objetivo parroquia es $ 940.000. A partir de este fin de semana llevamos casi 1.8 mil dólares prometidos por 690 familias! Verdaderamente esto es increíble !!! Me gustaría dar las gracias - en nombre de la parroquia y diócesis a todos aquellos que dieron tan generosamente. Ahora la parte difícil comienza ... aparcarte han comenzado las reuniones con los arquitectos e ingenieros para planificar el trabajo principal en la torre y la iglesia de la azotea. Como en años anteriores que se preguntan los feligreses que necesitan ayuda para ponerse en contacto con el Padre Rick en la rectoría - 718.424.5400. HELP FOR THANKSGIVING The national holiday of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Thursday, November 26. As in previous year we are asking parishioners who need assistance to contact Father Rick at the rectory – 718.424.5400. We are able to assist all families of the parish who need the help. The deadline to ask for assistance is Monday, November 16th. If you need the extra help, please call as soon as possible.

GENERATIONS OF FAITH CAMPAIGN: We thank those who generously contributed to the 5 year campaign to renovate the church roof and air condition the church. (See Fr Rick’s message this week) Some instructions for those who made a pledge: Please wait until you receive your payment reminder in the mail. When you receive it—use the card enclosed to make your payment. Place your payment and reminder card in the envelope that is provided. DO NOT SEND CASH. And please do not place it in the collection or send it to the parish. These pledges need to be sent to the diocese. They are handling the pledge money as it comes in. All those who pledged should be receiving a thank you note and a payment reminder in the mail by December. Please be patient. If you have any questions, please contact Raul in the parish office. 718.424.5400 VETERANS DAY: This Wednesday, November 11 is Veteran’s Day. We honor all those men and women – living and deceased- who have served in our nation’s military. We especially invite veterans to attend the 9 a.m. mass in the chapel. During the mass you will receive a special blessing as we thank you for your service. Following the mass, like every Wednesday, we will have a light breakfast in HEAFEY Hall. The parish office will be OPEN for Veteran’s Day from 9AM—9PM. MINISTER’S MEETING: All lectors and extraordinary ministers of holy communion are reminded that we will have a meeting on WEDNESDAY, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel. There will be some time for prayer, formation and sharing at this meeting. Your presence at this meeting is very important. If you CANNOT attend, please contact Father Gildea. MASS BOOK 2016: The mass book for 2016 is now open for intentions. Masses are offered for those living or deceased. The offering for each mass is $15. On Saturday at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. we offer collective intentions – which means we are able to take more than one intention for the mass. If you have any questions, please speak to one of the priests.

DÍA DE VETERANOS: Este Miércoles, 11 de noviembre es el Día de los Veteranos. Honramos a todos aquellos hombres y mujeres - vivos y fallecidos- que han servido en las fuer-zas armadas de nuestra nación. Invitamos especialmente a los veteranos a asistir a la misa 9 a.m. en la capilla. Durante la misa, recibirán una bendición especial que le damos las gracias por su servicio. Después de la misa, como todos los miércoles, vamos a tener un desayuno ligero en Heafey Hall. La oficina parroquial estará ABIERTA por el Día de los Veteranos de 9AM-9PM. REUNIÓN DEL MINISTRO: Se recuerda a todos los lectores y ministros extraordinarios de la sagrada comunión que vamos a tener una reunión el miércoles 18 de noviembre a las 6:30 pm en la capilla.
