Cossack.—Between the 20th .January and the 2nd ult., from the White Horse Hotel,—about 8 dozen j)int bottles champagne, labelled Barton and Companies Carte Blanche, the property of W. T. Craig.—C.I. 72.

Geraldton.—Between the 18th and 21st ult., from the premises of John Drummond,—a double barrel fowling piece, large bore and nipples, the latter much worn, the property of John Drummond. —C.I. 73.

Perth (Mount Eliza Station).—On the night of the 23rd ult., from a horse in Roe Street,—about 6 feet of coir rope and an old rope baiter, the property of Charles Mewerson. Suspicion attaches to John O'Connor.—C.I. 74.

Beverley.—On or about the 16th ult., from the residence of John Williams, Talbot Bridge,—1 pair grey tweed trousers, 3 twill shirts, 2 white cotton singlets, 2 red handkerchiefs, 2 pair colored mole­skin trousers, 1 flannel shirt, 1 horse rug with red and blue stripes, 1 pair watertight boots (size 8), recently half soled, and a small quantity rations, &c., the property of John Williams, Vide Warrants issued,—C.I, 75.

Horses and Cattle. Bridgetoim.—Sold on the 17th ult., by order of

James G. Lee Steere, J.P., bay gelding, aged, 14 hands high, near hind foot white, branded like P2 near shoulder.

Inquests. Fremantle.—On the 25th ult., at the Hospital,

before J. G. Slade, E.M. and Coroner, on the body . of Henry Hands, exp., late 4752. Verdict,—" Death from accidental causes."

Perth.—On the 27th ult., at the Police Court, before G. W. Leake, P.M, and Coroner, on the body of Alfred Lockyer, youth. Verdict,—" Accidental death,"

Concealment of Birth. Perth.—On the 21st inst., the dead body of an

European female child, fully matured, was found in a grant situated in Hay Street West, The body was wrapped in an old flannel petticoat, patched at front and back and stained with blood. The navel string was about 9 inches long, and tied. At an Inquest held on the 23rd inst., the Surgeon's evidence shows that the child was bom not more than twenty-four hours from the time of discovery. The following verdict was returned:—That the child unknown had been found dead, but there was no evidence to indi­cate the cause of death.
