An innovative energy conceptsaves money and protects the environment
Our solar power plant ison the roof of the rainwater tank
Dresden’s second largest solar power plant with an output of 190 kWh
in 2009 the plant produced an amount of 170 MWh
that correlates with the annual need of 45 families and with 0.7 percent of the total consumption of the STW Kaditz (cash-equivalent is 95,000 EUR)
the investment (900,000 EUR) will be refinanced within 12 years
Hydro energy by turbine in the STW outlet use of the difference between the water levels of the secondary clarifier and the river Elbe
in 2009 the plant produced about 672 MWh energy, which correlates to the consumption of 170 families
which also correlates to 2.7 percent of the total consumption of the STW Kaditz
feeding the hydro-electric power into our own grid reduces the energy costs
Heat energy from waste water
new construction of the fire and civil protection center heat supply: 750 MWh/year coolness supply: 100 MWh/year annual heat demand will be covered up to 45 percent annual coolness demand will be covered up to 100 percent
Extension of the sludge treatment new construction of a biogas plant
technical solution: digestion towers with a volume of 2x10,500 cubic meters
combined heat and power unit
fluid sludge utilization
generation of biogas with an energy equivalent of 33,573 MWh/year
including 12,758 MWh electric power
reduction of sludge mass by about 30 percent
Commitment for following generation
