How do we create an environment where we do not experience negative stress?

• Good leadership

• Participation

• Clear definition of goals and expectations

• An open environment

• Don’t overwork things!

We are scientists:

• We must get away from the ideal of the devoted scientist who puts his/her research above everything else.

• An ordinary work-week is 40 hours (sometimes more, sometimes less).

• During those 40 hours we should focus on our academic tasks.

• But we should also have a life outside the Chemical Center.

• We must strike a good balance!
