1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click NetMeeting.

2. On the Call menu, click Host Meeting.

3. In the Host a Meeting dialog box, in the Meeting Name box, type the name of the meeting.

4. In the Meeting Password box, type the password.

5. Select the Only you can accept incoming calls check box.

6. Under Meeting Tools, select the Chat, Whiteboard, and Sharing check boxes.

7. Click OK.

To join a meeting:

1. Start NetMeeting.

2. In the Address box, type the Internet Protocol (IP) address for Suzan’s computer.

3. Click the Place Call button.

4. In the Enter Password dialog box, in the Password box, type your password, and then click OK.

To locate your computer’s IP address:

1. Click Help, and then click About Windows NetMeeting.

2. Click OK to close the About Windows NetMeeting dialog box.

To conduct a chat session:

1. Click the Chat button at the bottom of the NetMeeting window.

2. In the Message box, type a comment.

3. Click the Send Message button or press ENTER.

To save the chat transcript:

1. In the Chat dialog box, on the File menu, click Save As.

2. Open the folder that you want to save the file in.

3. In the File Name box, type a name for the file.

4. In the Save as Type dialog box, click Chat Files (*.htm; *.html), and then click Save.

To open a file:

1. Click the Whiteboard button at the bottom of the NetMeeting window.

2. In the Whiteboard window, on the File menu, click Open.

3. Navigate to the file you want to open, and then click Open.

To insert a page:

1. On the Edit menu, click Insert Page.

2. Click the navigation buttons in the lower-right corner to move from page to page.

Audio/Video Conferencing

To start Audio/Video Conferencing:

• Click the Start Video button.

To adjust video conferencing settings:

• On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Video tab. (Note: The video options may take a few seconds to appear.)

To stop Audio/Video Conferencing:

• Click the Stop Video button.

To share a program:

1. Open the program you want to share.

2. Click the Share Program button at the bottom of the NetMeeting window.

3. In the Sharing dialog box, click the name of the program that you want to share, and then click Share.

4. Minimize the Chat and Sharing dialog boxes.

To grant control of a program:

1. Click the Share Program button at the bottom of the NetMeeting window.

2. In the Sharing dialog box, click Allow Control.

3. Wait for another party to request control.

4. Click Accept.
