SCHOOL PICK UP/DROP OFFPlease use the main car park gates to drop off your child before 9:10am and for pick up after school.The office gate is only to be used if you need to drop off late ie after 9:10 am or pick up early from school.

A REMINDER FOR ALL FAMILIESStudents should not attend school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home and should not return until they have received a negative test result and are symptom-free. In circumstances where children have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.Anyone who is unwell with COVID-19 symptoms is strongly encouraged to get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is received.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PARENTS/CARERSNon-essential visitors are NOT permitted in schools.Parents should: • maintain physical distancing by avoiding

gathering outside of school gates.• remain outside of school grounds (note some

exceptions may apply regarding schools for specific purposes, vulnerable students or students with disability)

• follow mask-wearing requirements and sign in using the Service NSW QR code when entering the school.

If you need to drop off your child late or pick up early you are required to enter via the office gate. Masks are mandatory within the office area.

TERM 3 STUDENT INTEREST GROUPSDue to restrictions on non-essential visitors in schools, Term 3 Student Interest Groups for 3/4J, 2/3T and 1/2M will be postponed until further notice. If you are interested in helping to run a workshop (when restrictions have eased) please fill in the provided forms and we will be in contact.

REGIONAL SPELLING BEE

Due to the current Covid restrictions, this has now been postponed until Term 4.

P&C DONATIONThank you to the P&C for purchasing new toys for the sand pit and balls for the sports shed. The students and staff appreciate their support.

CANTEEN NEWSTo mark the Olympic Games the canteen will be offering some special recess items reflecting foods from different countries. These specials will run alongside our normal menu for next week onlynext week onlycommencing Monday 2nd Aug through to Friday 6th Aug.Four dishes have been chosen to reflect each country’s culture.

Monday: China - Sweet & Sour ChickenWednesday: Italy - Spaghetti BologneseThursday: India - Butter ChickenFriday: Australia - Warm Damper with honey or golden syrup.$1 per serve - limited quantities per day.

The canteen is looking forward to some cultural variety next week. Why not try one or even all four!

KINDERGARTEN 2022

We are now taking enrolments for 2022. You can collect an enrolment form from the office or print one off from the NSW Department of Education website. It is now possible to enrol your child online. Go to the Forest Hill Public School website and click on enrolment.If you know of any family within our school zone who has a child attending school next year please encourage them to collect an enrolment form from the school or place an online enrolment on the school website.

QR CODES We are currently asking you to complete feedback using a range of QR codes. This feedback is being asked for to improve our events and to ensure that everyone has a voice. The feedback that you are providing is always anonymous and allows us the chance to develop and improve what we are doing. For example from your feedback we are going to:- space out the age groups more at the Cross Country for better visibility and less congestion- provide greater notification time before events- tighten organisation of events by aiming for specific times and less waiting- introducing additional events at the athletics carnival- updating seating arrangements at the Easter Hat Parade for better visibility- changing prize awarding at Easter Hat Parade- providing more opportunities for photographs during the Easter Hat Parade

Preheat oven to 200°C. Spread breadcrumbs onto abaking tray. Spray carefully with oil and bake for 3 to 5minutes until light golden. Transfer to a bowl.

In a medium bowl, add the egg, milk, mayonnaise,mustard, flour and a little salt and pepper. Whisk with afork until well combined. Add a chicken tender to thebatter and toss to coat. Toss in the breadcrumbs andpress gently into the chicken. Place on a lined baking tray.Repeat with remaining chicken.

Spray carefully with oil and bake for 10-15 minutes oruntil cooked through and golden brown.

Serve with a fresh garden salad.
