Case Study: Women’s College Hospital

Outcomes:  •  Overall  cost  savings  of  65%  ($135.78  

per  follow-­‐up  vs.  $381.27)

Privacy and Security Data  security  and  privacy  engineered  into  the  system  from  the  ground  up,  adhering  to  HIPAA  and  PHIPA  security  standards  including:  

•  For  managed  devices,  features  a  private  wireless  APN  providing  secure  encrypted  VPN  tunnels  from  mobile  devices  to  the  plagorm  over  the  carrier  cellular  network.  

•  In  transit  data  encryp=on  using  256-­‐bit  SSL/TLS  encryp=on  with  2048-­‐bit  encryp=on  keys  to  secure  data  while  in  transit.  

•  Database  server  encryp=on  using  AES  256-­‐bit  encryp=on  

•  Pa=ent  mobile  device  encryp=on  using  AES  128-­‐bit  encryp=on.    

•  Each  user  is  assigned  their  own  unique  encryp=on  secret.  Pa=ents  must  successfully  authen=cate  to  retrieve  their  encryp=on  secret  from  the  plagorm  servers.    

•  Submi`ed  data  is  signature  validated  to  ensure  data  has  not  been  modified  while  in  transit.
