Reflection The Lord Jesus offers each one of us the gift and power of his Holy Spirit. He wants to make our faith strong, give us hope that endures, and a love that never grows cold. He never refuses to give his Spirit to those who ask with expectant faith. Jesus instructed his disciples to ask confidently for the gift of the Spirit: "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (Luke 11:13). Do you thirst for God and for the abundant life he offers through the gift of his Spirit?
"Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of Pentecost and for the new life you offer in the Holy Spirit. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and set my heart ablaze with the fire of your love that I may serve you in joy and freedom."

Blessed Virgin Mary as ‘Mother of the Church, that is to say of all

‘the Mother of God should be further honored and invoked by the entire Christian people by this tenderest

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is in urgent need of assistance during this Covid-19 crisis. Many in our community are struggling to survive and provide for their families having been let go, laid off or furloughed because of the virus. We are asking for donations of food and money in order
to help alleviate the burden borne by the less fortunate in our community. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. You can contact the Society through their main number, 426-0882 or the Sacred Heart office at 428-6426.
Thank you and may God bless you.
The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit
enabled them Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.
When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked:
“Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our
native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and
Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”
