Statement from the Five Catholic Bishops of Indiana “The five Catholic dioceses of [Indiana] will begin resuming public liturgies (e.g. Mass and Sacraments) by 30 May 2020, the Vigil of Pentecost, with restrictions outlined by each diocese and provided to the parishes within their respective jurisdictions. The dispensation from the obligation to participate at Mass on Sundays is extended throughout the State of Indiana until 15 August 2020.”
From Fr. Joe We the priests have been told that the opening of the churches will probably begin with buildings open for private devotions, perhaps Eucharistic Adoration, the sacrament of Confession being made available, and by first celebrating weekday Masses before launching into a full weekend schedule. There will be plenty of restrictions which we will have to follow. Stay tuned.
PLEASE PRAY FOR Those who are ill Al Dehli, Dennis Lenfert, Micki Tinsley, William Schmidt, Brayan Barrera, Suzanne Tyler, Barbara Shields, Marge Kiesler, Mindy Avis, Joseph Morris, Jim Henshaw, Jo Ann Aubrey, Sharon Beck, Robin Aubrey, Gerald Huber, Bill Burke, Bill Schad, Bill Schwender, Sr. Betty MacDougall, Coletta Clements, Janet Bradley, Pauline & Jack Spitznagel, Richard Hoyland, Charlie Sanders and Lynn Vogt. May they be touched by the healing hand of the Lord and restored soon to the full and active life of our community and their families.

DEAR SAINT ANTHONY FAMILY, After many months of prayerful reflection, I recently announced my retirement as Saint Anthony’s Youth Minister, effective June 30, 2020. I wanted to send a heartfelt “Thank You” to our parish com-munity (youth, parents, volunteers, parish and school co-workers, and Fr. Joe) for being so supportive during the 15 years that I spent as Youth Minister. I have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams to be able to work day in and day out with the amaz-ing youth of our parish as they
made strides in their faith journeys. I find it difficult to put in writing how much love I have for the youth of our parish be-cause they have brought me so much joy, laughter, delight and sense of adventure through the years. Even the challenges and obstacles were treasured learning experiences because the youth and I were able to work through them together while developing lasting bonds and a deeper love for Jesus Christ. I plan to make time for some overdue projects around my home and perhaps enjoy a little traveling. I definitely feel God is call-ing me to be involved in some sort of ‘volunteer’ role, so I look forward to seeing what He has in store. Saint Anthony’s has been my second home for many years, so I look forward to staying active in our parish community and seeing everyone at Mass and upcoming events. Many Blessings, Stacy Gillenwater
