Both SEO and PPC is used to generate traffic and used as tools of Search Engine Marketing. The traffic

generates from SEO is free. On the other hand the traffic generates from PPC is not free, as the name suggest, you have to pay cost per click to generate traffic. That’s why the traffic generated from SEO is

known as organic traffic and the traffic generated from PPC is called paid or inorganic traffic.

SEO is free but it requires lot of hard work, strategies, tactics and plans to get traffic from search engines. It requires lot of efforts to get position on first page in search engines. There is tough competition for every keyword and also requires a high quality website to grab traffic from search engines. On the other hand,

PPC is paid and depends upon other factors. It depends upon the popularity of the keywords, the numbers of

advertisers who want to use these keywords and number of similar websites that contain ad positions

for these keywords.

Now the question raises which method of search engine marketing brings more traffic. The answer is SEO brings more traffic than PPC and organic traffic also. SEO brings traffic continuously without paying

anything. On the other hand, PPC ads get more clicks but it leads to higher cost, because if you are using PPC ads to get traffic then you have you pay cost per click

which turns to higher cost.

Conversion rate is higher in PPC as compared to SEO. Web pages are searches by using different keywords that’s why sometimes the visitor may not be getting

exactly what they are searching and your webpage not get visible on search engines when visitors search on

search engines. On the other hand, if you opt PPC campaign then you get clicks from those visitors who

100% want your content.
