There  are  seven  continents.  In  order,  from  biggest  to  smallest:    

1. Asia  2. Africa  3. North  America  4. South  America  5. Antarctica  6. Europe  7. Australasia  

   

There  are  five  oceans:        

A. The  Pacific  Ocean    B. The  Atlantic  Ocean  C. The  Indian  Ocean  D. The  Southern  Ocean  E. The  Arctic  Ocean  

 Seas  are  smaller  than  oceans.  There  are  lots  of  them,  for  example:    • The  South  China  Sea  • The  Caribbean  Sea  • The  Mediterranean  Sea

 A  landscape  is  an  area  of  land  that  has  a  particular  appearance.  

 Landscapes  can  have  natural  or  man-­‐made  features.

   Most  of  Spain  is  located  on  the  Iberian  Peninsula.    A  peninsula  is  an  area  of  land  that  is  mostly  surrounded  by  water,  but  is  connected  to  a    larger  area  of  land  at  one  point.    The  Iberian  Peninsula  is  surrounded  by:    • The  Atlantic  Ocean  to  the  west.  • The  Mediterranean  Sea  to  the  east  and  south.  • The  Mar  Cantábrico  to  the  north.  

   PHYSICAL  GEOGRAPHY  OF  SPAIN    

-­‐  Spain  is  in  the  South-­‐West  of  Europe.    

-­‐  Spain  has  2  archipelagos  and  2  cities  in  Africa.    

-­‐  There  are  7.000  kilometres  of  coast  in  Spain.
