Looking at their stems, we can classify plants into three subgroups:

GRASSES (hierbas) BUSHES (arbustos) TREES (árboles)

• Soft stem. (Tallo suave)

• They are thin, flexible and short. (Son finas, flexibles y cortas)

• Woody stems with low

branches. (Tallo leñoso con ramas bajas)

• Taller than grasses. (Más altos que las hierbas)

• Thick and woody stem (trunk).

(Tallo grueso y leñoso, tronco)

• The branches grow out from the trunk. (Las ramas crecen fuera del tronco)
