General Rules

1. The adverts cannot contain automatic forwarding to advertiser’s website or any

elements downloaded from external servers.

2. The adverts are hosted on INTERIA.PL’s server.

3. The adverts cannot use scripts changing the appearance of the browser window,

except those forms that contain such an effect by default.

4. The Adverts should not use more than 30% CPU of an average class processor

(Intel Pentium 4).

5. The landing URL cannot be longer than 200 characters.

6. The adverts cannot read or modify the cookies from user’s computer.

7. The adverts cannot cause any warnings or errors during screening, or in any other

way disturb the performance of the website where they are screened.

8. The names of advert files shouldn’t contain foreign characters or spaces, the files

should be named according to the following pattern:

advertiser/campaign_name_type_of_ad_size.filetype e.g.:

interiapl_navibox_300x250.swf or type_of_ad_size.filetype e.g.: bar_950x60.swf

9. The sound can be activated only by the user (by rolling over or clicking)

10. Ads are displayed by the adserver working in asynchronic mode

a) Ads may not use events DOMContentReady and onLoad – instead, use the

following equivalents: Inpl.Ad.onReady and Inpl.Ad.onLoad

b) Advertising code may not use the method document.write

c) External adservers using the SCRIPT tag without the ASYNC parameter and ads

using document.write may be displayed using the solution recommended by the

IAB: Friendly IFrame (FIF)

d) The ad may „know” that it has been embedded inside an FIF after reading the

inDapIF variable. If the ad is in an FIF, the variable becomes TRUE.

1. Advertising bar under Fakty module

DESCRIPTION : Static graphic ad located on Portal Main Page under Fakty

module.

SIZE : up to 15 kb

MEASUREMENTS : 560x100 and 335x100 piksels (obligatory in two sizes)

2. Advertising bar under Biznes module

DESCRIPTION : Static graphic ad located on Portal Main Page under Biznes

module.

5. Billboard

DESCRIPTION : Graphic rectangle placed in the middle-upper part of a website,

animated or static. Larger than standard banner.

Flash Technology (SWF)

1. The advert should contain getURL command:

time line on the top layer.

2. The URL address to the GET URL action should be supplied together with the

advertising materials.

3. For the advert to be accepted, all of the above-mentioned conditions have to be

fulfilled.

6. Brandmark

DESCRIPTION : Graphic ad, displayed over the site’s content. The ad contains a

non-clickable upper strip, which can be used to drag the ad in

browser’s window. There must be a visible close button “ZAMKNIJ

X” in the upper-right part of the bar. On the left side of the close

button there is a minimize „_” button, which leaves only the drag

bar visible.

SIZE : up to 60kB

MEASUREMENTS : up to 300x300 pixels

TECHNOLOGY : Flash (SWF),

Flash Technology (SWF)

1. The advert should contain getURL command:

time line on the top layer.

2. The URL address to the GET URL action should be supplied together with the advertising materials.

3. The closing button, marked with an “X”, should be visible all the time during the

advert’s screening, placed in the upper-right corner of the ad and be clearly

visible on a non-transparent background. Font size - at least 12 px. The X button

should be at least 14x14px. The entire button has to be active, not just the X

itself.

4. Minimising function.

a) The minimising buton should trigger the following function:

For Flash version 9 and higher:

For Flash version 8 and lower:

b) To bring back the original size, the button should trigger the following

function:

For Flash version 9 and higher:

For Flash version 8 and lower:

The buton should be placed on the inactive drag bar, on the left side of the close

buton. It should use the following symbol: “_”.

5. For the advert to be accepted, all of the above mentioned conditions have to be

fulfilled.

7. CZATeria sponsoring

a) Corner Pump-up

DESCRIPTION : Graphic advert with a transparency effect, placed in the corner of

the chat window. Transparency effect is mandatory. It is not

animated or clickable.

SIZE : up to 20 kB

MEASUREMENTS : max 200x200 pixels

DURATION : Max. 60 s.

TECHNOLOGY : GIF (possible 2-frame animation) BACKGROUND : white ( 255, 255, 255 ), the minimal value of RGB

components for the pixels other than white is 150 (the darkest

banner expands from (0x0) to (200x200) (recommended),

only the horizontal size changes,

only the vertical size changes,

banner moves diagonally without changing size,

banner moves horizontally without changing size, banner moves vertically without changing size,

banner is static,

- screening in all chatrooms – the banner shows up for the whole cycle

(appearing, screening for the set time, disappearing)

- screening in a chosen chatroom (appears only once in the

chosen chatroom)

OTHER : INTERIA.PL reserves the right to approve the ad before

screening.

b) Watermark

DESCRIPTION : Graphic advert with transparency effect, placed in the

background of the chat window. The transparency effect is

obligatory. It is not animated or clickable.

SIZE : up to 10 kB

MEASUREMENTS : recommended 128x128 pixels

TECHNOLOGY : GIF

BACKGROUND : white (255, 255, 255 ), at least 95% of pixels should be in the

color of the background; the minimal value of RGB components

for the pixels other than white is 235 (the darkest possible color is RGB 235,235,235)

OPTIONS : alignment - centered, expanded, tiled

- screening in all chatrooms and private rooms,

- screening in a chosen chatroom and all the private rooms

assigned to it

- counting pageviews – each opening of a room or private room

with the background is counted as one pageview.

OTHER : INTERIA.PL reserves the right to approve the ad before

screening.

8. Comet Cursor

DESCRIPTION : Advert in the form of a graphic element following the mouse

cursor.

SIZE : up to 10kB

MEASUREMENTS : 50x50 pixels

9. Commercial Break

DESCRIPTION : Graphic ad, shown with the top heading bar of the site it is

screened on. The ad then disappears and the rest of the site is

loaded. The ad must contain a visible close buton „ZAMKNIJ X”

SIZE : up to 40kB

MEASUREMENTS : 750x450 or 950x450 depending on the width of the website.

DURATION : Max. 10s.

1. The advert should contain getURL command:

3. Automatic closing. After the animation – no more than 10 s. from the beginning

- the advert should trigger a closing action:

For Flash version 9 and higher:

4. The close button, marked with “ZAMKNIJ X”, should be visible all the time during

the advert’s screening, placed in the upper-right corner of the ad and be clearly

visible on a non-transparent background. Font size of 12 px. The active button

should be at least 14x14 px. The entire area should be active, not just the “X” mark.

10. Double Billboard

DESCRIPTION : Graphic rectangle placed in the middle-top of a website, live or

static. Larger than traditional banner, twice the size of a

billboard.

SIZE : up to 40kB

MEASUREMENTS : 750x200 pixels

TECHNOLOGY : GIF, JPEG, Flash (SWF), HTML

1. The advert should contain getURL command:

DESCRIPTION : Graphic ad set in the middle-upper part of the website in place of

a standard banner, but of a much bigger size. Only on websites

with a wide layout.

SIZE : up to 60kB

MEASUREMENTS : 950x300 pixels

DESCRIPTION : An interactive banner, which expands on rollover, providing

extra space for promotion and presentation of products and

services.

SIZE : up to 40KB

MEASUREMENTS : 750x100 pixels before expansion

and 750x300 pixels after expansion

TECHNOLOGY : Flash (SWF)

1. Ad should be prepared using Flash version 9 or higher

2. The advert should contain getURL command:

4. How to prepare the expansion effect:

Create a 750x300px scene.

Create a 750x100 px mask and put it over the scene. The upper left

corners of the scene and mask should align.

On the top layer there should be a button, which on rollover will cause the

mask to expand to 750x300, revealing the whole advert.

5. Hiding the elements of the website that are covered by the expanding part:

a. Expand should trigger the following action: flash.external.ExternalInterface.call(_root.fName, "hidden");

b. Collapse should trigger the following action:

flash.external.ExternalInterface.call(_root.fName, "visible");

6. For the advert to be accepted, all of the above mentioned conditions have to be

fulfilled.

13. Expand Corner

DESCRIPTION : The corner should be „flat” i.e. the site doesn’t appear to roll up.

Instead, a transparency effect of the SWF file is used. The ad

displays as an 120x120 px SWF in the upper-right corner of the

site, which expands to 520x520 px on rollover. The ad rolls back

after the cursor is moved away from the area of the ad.

5. Hiding the elements of the website that are covered by the expanding part:

a. Expand should trigger the following action: flash.external.ExternalInterface.call(_root.fName, "hidden");

b. Collapse should trigger the following action:

flash.external.ExternalInterface.call(_root.fName, "visible");

6. In the upper-right corner (in the expanded and non-expanded state) there should

be an active visible close button „ZAMKNIJ X” (font min. 12 px, the X sized min.

14x14 px), clearly visible on non-transparent background. The entire area of the

button should be active, not just the X mark.

14. Expand Half Page

DESCRIPTION : A large-sized graphic advertisement, placed in the upper part of

the right column which expands to the left on rollover, providing

extra space for promotion and presentation.

SIZE : up to 60kB

MEASUREMENTS : 300x600 pixels before expansion and 600x600 after expansion

advertising spot before a video played by the user. Depending on

the speed of the user's connection, it is displayed in one of the

two different qualities allowing for smooth playback. INTERIA.PL

converts the delivered source material for screening on the

Internet. It is an active form of advertisement, it can be clicked

to display the client’s website.

WALLPAPER

The wallpaper creates a cohesive whole together with the top-

slot banner (Billboard, Double Billboard, Wideboard, Triple

Billboard, Double Wideboard).

The wallpaper is visible to the user only on the margins - the

middle part of the graphic is covered by the site’s main content

part. Depending on the site, the main part may have a different

width (the attachment containing different websites’ widths will

be provided by our representative)

The wallpaper may look different depending on the screen

resolution or the browser window size. That is why we

recommend placing the key elements near the margins.

We recommend that the wallpaper ends with a solid color on the

sides – in such case a color code (hex) should also be provided

to set as the background color for the site (especially for

wallpapers that do not scroll together with the site).

depending on the client’s preference.

DESCRIPTION:

VideoAd – An advertisement which allows screening of a television commercial.

INTERIA.PL converts the source material for the Internet.

The maximum duration of a video clip is 30 seconds. It starts playing when the ad is

loaded, but with muted sound (the sound has to be turned on by the user by clicking or

rollover). Maximum size of the video is 2 MB (after conversion). The video player has to

include STOP and MUTE buttons.

SCREENING:

The adserwer emits the main advertisement, the scripts serving this advertisement

examine the user's link and select the appropriate version, depending on the link and on

the buffer time of the advertisement indicated by the client.

NECESSARY MATERIALS:

a) the main advertisement - which should already be a player, and has appropriate

scripts raises the video

b) video, FLV file with the best possible quality (up to 30s.), max weight 2 MB. Video can

be play automaticaly but mute. The voice is activated by the user, by pressing "play" or

"mute" button. Video must not play over and over.

DEADLINE FOR PROVIDING MATERIALS:

5 workdays before the start of the campaign.

38. Watermark (Wallpaper)

DESCRIPTION : A graphic advertisement with low contrast and transparency

(grayscale recommended), located on the margins of the website.

The form is not animated or clickable. The graphic element on the

ad needs to contain empty space on the margins so that it can be

fitted to the website. The conditions of the service are decided on a

case-by-case basis.

SIZE : up to 10 kb

MEASUREMENTS : recommended 128x128 pixels

TECHNOLOGY : GIF, JPEG

OTHER : INTERIA.PL reserves the right to approve the ad before

screening.

39. Wideboard

DESCRIPTION : Graphic ad set in the middle-upper part of the website in place of

a standard banner, but of a much bigger size. Only on some

websites (with a wide layout).

SIZE : up to 40kB

MEASUREMENTS : 950x200 pixels

1. The advert should contain getURL command:

2. The URL address to the GET URL action should be supplied together with the

advertising materials

3. For the advert to be accepted, all of the above mentioned conditions have to be
