Holiday Hours

St. Anne Community Outreach is closed for the holidays. The

Center will re-open Mon., Jan. 9. Please don’t leave

donations outside the Center while it is closed.

St. Anne’s Parish Office is closed for Christmas. The office

will reopen Wed., Dec. 28. The office will also be closed

Mon., Jan. 2.

Discernment Retreat

A Discernment Retreat for Men will be held at Little

Ocmulgee State Park & Lodge in Helena, GA from Fri.,

Dec. 30 until Sat., Dec. 31. Single men ages 18 to 40 are

invited to attend. The free retreat does require registration:

Ring in the New Year at St. Anne Church

The Knights of Columbus will host a New Year’s Eve

Celebration from Sat., Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. to Sun., Jan. 1 at

1 a.m. in St. Anne Church's Visitation Hall. There will be

heavy hors d’oeuvres, dancing and door prizes; coffee and

pastries will be served after Midnight. Tickets are $15 per

New Year’s Mass Schedule

The Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God is observed on

Sun., Jan. 1. This feast celebrates Mary’s motherhood of

Jesus. Masses will be celebrated at St. Anne Catholic Church

on Sat., Dec. 31 at 5:30 p.m. and Sun., Jan. 1 at 8 a.m.,

10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Singles Over 40 Lunch

Are you single and age 40 or older? Join the new "Singles

Over 40" ministry for lunch at El Carrizo on Macon Road

immediately after the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sun., Jan. 8. This

group is open to all widowed, divorced or never-married

Baptism Class

Registered parishioners interested in having their child

baptized at St. Anne Church must attend a Baptism Class.

Our next Baptism Class is Sun., Jan. 8 in the Youth Room at

12th Annual Deimel Legacy Ball

The 12th Annual Deimel Legacy Ball is Sat., Jan. 28,

beginning at 6 p.m., at RiverMill Event Centre. The event is

an opportunity to enjoy fellowship among parishioners while

supporting a wonderful cause: Catholic education in

Columbus, GA! The Deimel Legacy Ball will be hosted by

Bishop Hartmayer, and feature cocktails, dinner and dancing.

Jesus is God’s ultimate gift of love to us. The countless

other blessings that God showers upon us are nothing

compared to the gift of His only Son. The only

appropriate way for us to respond to such generous

love is with our own generous love. When we dedicate

our lives to sharing all the gifts God has placed in our

hands, the peace of Christ truly will control our hearts

and we will know Christmas joy every day.

If a contribution is received after Jan. 3, 2017, it

will be posted to 2017.

March For Life

Stand up for life during Chattahoochee

Valley United for Life’s 2017 March For Life

on Thurs., Jan. 19 at Noon at the Columbus

Government Center! Consider bringing a

pair of baby booties to donate to mothers

who choose life. The steps of the Government Center will be

lined with the booties—one for each baby aborted in

Columbus in one year. Collection bins will be in the Commons

Area of our church during the Christmas Season.

Youth Groups

St. Anne Catholic Church's Middle and High School Youth

Groups are open to all 6th through 12th graders who are

Catholic or interested in learning about the Catholic faith.

We use Edge and LifeTeen, Catholic middle school and high

school youth ministry programs, to provide a safe, fun place

for youth to experience fellowship, get answers to

questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience

Jesus in a profound and personal way.

The next Youth Group meetings are Sun., Jan. 8. Sixth-8th

graders will gather from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and 9th-12th

graders will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Both groups meet in

Visitation Hall, and dinner will be served. Visit

Adult Scripture Study December Meetings

St. Anne Church Parochial Vicar Fr. Brian O'Shaughnessy’s

Scripture study will continue in January with meetings on

Mon., Jan. 9 and Mon., Jan. 23 from 7 until 8 p.m. in

St. Anne-Pacelli’s High School Media Center. All adults are

welcome!
