“And He was transfigured before them; His face shone like the sun and his clothes
became white as light.” Matthew 17:2
Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, we should reflect Christ’s light to the
world. When we receive the Eucharist, the body and blood of Jesus, we are called to
be supernatural to reflect His love, mercy and forgiveness to others. When we are
grateful for all that God has given us, generosity flows through us because we are
made in God’s image.

Back to School
It’s back-to-school time! Please join us in praying for all
students as they begin the 2017-2018 academic year:
God of wisdom and might,
we praise You for the wonder of our being,
for mind, body and spirit.
Be with our children as they begin a new school year.
Bless them and their teachers and staff.
Give them strength and grace as their bodies grow;
wisdom and knowledge to their minds
as they search for understanding;
and peace and zeal to their hearts.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
