Rosary For the year of Mercy We say the Rosary for all your prayer requests every Friday at 12 noon, in the Chapel. Everyone is welcome! After the Rosary, the chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed.
Mary said Yes to Life and became our Guiding Light. Jesus came into the world as a little babe and angels attended him in birth, in life and in death. Merry Christmas. "It must be his angel" (Acts 12:15). Reflection: God assigns an angel to watch over us at every moment of our lives. Each unborn child has a guardian angel, too. If God cares enough about each unborn child to create that child and then assign him or her an angel, then certainly he expects us also to exercise some care and vigilance to speak up for and protect the lives of those children. Prayer: Send your angels, O Lord, to the assistance of all who are tempted to abort, and to all who work to persuade them to choose life.

Meditacion:  Dios asigna un angel para cuidarnos en cada momento de nuestras vidas.Cada nino que todavia no nace tambien tiene un angel de la guarda. Y si Dios se preocupa siempre por cada nino no nacido y le asigna a el o ella un angel, entonces en verdad espera que nos preocupemos por demostrar cuidado y vigilancia para hablar por ellos y para proteger y defender la vida de estos ninos indefensos. Oracion:  Manda tus angeles, Oh Senor, para ayudar a todos los que estan inclinados y tentados a abortar, y a todos los que trabajan para convencer a otros a escoger vida. Amen.

“llamando a todos los Católicos fieles a Mirar Más atentamente en la Misericordia para que podamos llegar a ser un signo más eficaz de la acción El Papa Francisco declaró un año lo Misericordia para comenzar el 8 de Deciembre el 50th aniversario de concilio Va cano II nos gustaría compar r la carta de 5 páginas del Reverendísimo Obispo Gerald R. Barnes sobre el ejercicio de la Misericordia Debido al tamaño de la carta vamos a compar rlo en una serie de Pasajes cada semana.
Iden ficaré ahora algunas áreas de enfoque para el Año Jubilar que nos da el Papa Francisco en la Bula de Convocación: Misericordiae Vultus (11 de abril de 2015) y algunas inicia vas locales que se han planeado. Ofreceré también preguntas para su reflexión al leer esta carta. 1. Encontrar espacios para prac car el perdón y la misericordia. Invito al Pueblo de Dios: presbíteros, diáconos, religiosos y religiosas, hermanas y hermanos laicos a dialogar en comunidad y con la iluminación del Espíritu Santo iden ficar esas áreas de la vida social y pastoral que necesitan con mayor urgencia la Misericordia de la Iglesia. Cada comunidad debe discernir lo que puede y debe hacer para que la vida co diana de las personas y las ac vidades de la parroquia sean una expresión de la misericordia de Dios. Podemos preparar un plan de acción para responder a los desa os que presenta nuestra realidad en un proceso que comienza con hechos simples pero que aspira al ideal del llamado del Papa Francisco a ser “Misericordiosos como el Padre”. El Santo Padre ha iden ficado diversas ac vidades pastorales que expresan la misericordia de Dios, pero son nuestras comunidades quienes deben concre zarlas en su propia realidad.Una es que debemos abrir nuestros corazones a los marginados, a quienes viven en las periferias más remotas de la sociedad: periferias creadas por la sociedad moderna misma. La tarea de nuestras comunidades es iden ficar en nuestra realidad par cular a los marginados y ofrecerles el óleo del consuelo y los vendajes de la misericordia. ¿Quiénes son los marginados en tu comunidad? El Papa nos invita a seguir el ejemplo de Jesús quien, en lugar de acatar los criterios de la ley, nos muestra el rostro del perdón y el acompañamiento en situaciones de pecado. ¿Cuáles son estas situaciones de pecado que necesitan verse desde el lado del amor y no de una aplicación de la ley? Como empleados, ministros, predicadores y presbíteros, buscamos siempre orientar nuestras palabras y nuestros hechos con un sen do de caridad; una perspec va simple pero ponderosa que debemos adoptar de manera más permanente todos los que servimos a la Iglesia. Debemos defender la verdad pero nunca sin caridad, porque al fin y al cabo, nos dice el Papa Francisco, “toda esta riqueza doctrinal se vuelca en una única dirección: servir al hombre. Al hombre en todas sus condiciones, en todas sus debilidades, en todas sus necesidades”. ¿Cuáles son algunas situaciones en nuestras vidas en que podemos ofrecer mejor un sen do de caridad a quienes encontramos en nuestro camino?

“Calling on the Roman Catholic faithful to gaze even more a en vely on mercy so that we may become a more effec ve sign of the Father’s ac on(MV,3), Pope Francis declared an Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy to begin on December 8, 2015, the 50th
Anniversary of the Second Va can Council.” We would like to share the 5 page le er from Bishop Most Reverend Gerald R. Barnes concerning the Year of Mercy. Due to the size of the le er, we will share it in a series of excerpts from the le er each week.
I will now iden fy some areas of focus for the Jubilee Year given to us by Pope Francis in the Bull of Indic on: Misericordiae Vultus (Apr. 11, 2015) and some local ini a ves that are planned. I will also offer ques ons for your reflec on as you read this le er. 1. Finding spaces to prac ce forgiveness and mercy I invite the People of God: priests, deacons, men and women religious, lay brothers and sisters to dialogue in community and with the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit to iden fy those areas of pastoral and social life that are in the most urgent need of the Mercy of the Church. Each community must discern what it can and must do so that daily life of people and parish ac vi es are an expression of the mercy of God. We can make an ac on plan to respond to the challenges that our reality poses in a process that starts with simple ac ons but which aspires to the ideal of Pope Francis’ call to be “Merciful like the Father.” The Holy Father has iden fied various pastoral ac ons that express the mercy of God, but it is our communi es who must make them concrete in their own reality. One is that we must open our hearts to the marginalized, those living on the outermost fringes of society: fringes which modern society itself creates. The work of our communi es is to iden fy in our local reality those who are marginalized and to offer them the oil of consola on and the bandages of mercy. Who are the marginalized in your community? The Pope invites us to follow the example of Jesus who, instead of observing legalis c criteria, shows us the face of forgiveness and accompaniment in situa ons of sin. What are these situa ons of sin that need to be seen from the side of love and not from an enforcement of law? As employees, ministers, preachers and priests we seek to always inform our words and ac ons with a sense of charity; a simple but powerful approach for all of us who serve the Church to adopt in a more permanent manner. We must defend truth but never without charity, because in the end, Pope Francis tells us, “all this rich teaching is channeled in one direc on, the service of mankind, of every condi on, in every weakness and need.” What are some situa ons in our lives where we can be er offer a sense of charity to those we encounter?
