Tamale Sale Today! As most of you know, a campaign began at the end of July to raise the necessary funds to replace the roof over our church. Our goal is to raise $100,000. Donation Update Donations received last week: $6,418. Our new total as of August 20 is $31,188. This is money received, not pledge amounts. Thank you for your generous sacrifices. We have a long way to go. Our goal is 100% participation. Donation envelopes are available in the nar-thex and the lobby. Tamale Sale This weekend, tamales will be sold af-ter all the masses. The cost is $12 per dozen. There are three types: chicken, pork and cheese with peppers. Unfortunately they can-not be mixed. All profits from this sale will go to the roof fund. Volunteer Tutors Needed
Tutors on Wheels is an adult literacy program sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Jo-seph, that helps people learn English as a second language. This program needs volunteers to teach in Addison, Glendale Heights and/or Bloomingdale. Teaching takes place in churches, public libraries, or social organizations. Volunteers are needed to teach one hour a week, on a one-on-one basis in a nearby location. Tutoring sessions are scheduled weekday mornings and some late afternoons (and/or eve-nings). Training, books, and other materials are provided. You do not need to speak or understand an-other language. The next tutor training is going to be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. in Addison. Baptisms: Pre-baptism Class is required before your date will be set. Please register two to three months in advance.
Weddings: Spiritual Preparation begins at least SIX months in advance. Do not make your res-ervations until you have met with pastor.
