What does it do for us as a parish? These are two questions that can help us understand the need for belonging to a parish, for being a member of the Church. The main goal of a picture directory is to make it easier for us to recognize and connect with each other in the larger community. It helps us to better identify each other as members and to give us a sense of being connected through our common Catholic faith. This new directory also helps us to mark the passage of time and the changes in individuals and families which occur as our community grows. As couples marry and begin families, as new members join us and older members go home to God in heaven, we need to mark these events. This directory will help us do that. Another advantage of this new directory is that it will help us to know each other better. So many times we may come to Mass and wonder, “Who was that sitting ahead of or behind us this weekend?” Pictures can assist in creating a stronger bond among ourselves and make our Catholic identity clearer. In the weeks ahead as you and your families sign up for your photo session, please keep all this in mind. It is good to take pride in our faith and our connections with each other because of that faith. This makes us members and marks that we are indeed part of the Body of Christ, the Church. Twenty-fifth Sunday

in Ordinary Time Why a picture directory?

Church Contributions If you are tired of remembering to do a weekly envelope (cash or check) for contributions to the church, consider doing a bill payment out of your bank checking account to the church. You can

do this weekly or monthly. This will help the church’s finance budgets for when you are out of town on the weekends or summers.
