Hello everyone

Dear friends, Have you ever wished someone had reminded you of an important church gathering, or a holy day, or if you were scheduled to be a lector or Eucharistic minister? Well, by the end of this month … if you use e-mail or have a cell phone that receives texts … all that (and more) will all be done for you automatically! St. MM is joining an ever increasing number of parishes who use FLOCKNOTES. Here’s how it will happen: At all Masses next weekend we’ll shorten the homily so we can gather your cell phone and/or email numbers. (If you have a cell phone, be sure to bring it so we can do everything right there.) This first, very large list will include as many parishioners as possible … so no one is left out of major announcements. Then … general flocknotes starts. You’ll be reminded of times for Ashes on Ash Wednesday, parish missions, open gatherings, picnics, evening movies, Children’s Bible camp, etc.

(We will, of course, continue to use the parish bulletin as well --- especially for people who aren’t that comfortable with cell phones or e-mails.) Our next step, done in the weeks after, will be to form more specialized lists --- of catechists, Eucharistic ministers, alpha graduates, servers, musicians, etc. --- who will be getting the more particular notices they need to keep abreast. So … see you next week … and remember to bring you cell phone. Peace, All Good!
