Sacramental Care Baptism

Infants and Children under 7 years old All parents are required to participate in a baptismal preparation process prior to the baptism of each child and are strongly encouraged to attend the classes during the second trimester of pregnancy. Please call the parish office, 713.403.4112, to register for classes and to schedule baptisms.

Older Children - 7 years of age and older

Please contact the Office of Children Faith Formation, 713.403.4122, for information on the Rite of Christian Initiation Adapted for Children.

Marriage

Engaged couples desiring to marry in the Church need to attend an introductory marriage preparation class, offered monthly, which begins the process. Please call 713.403.4112 for information and registration.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Non-Catholics (non-baptized or baptized in a non-Catholic, Christian denomination) who are interested in learning about the Catholic faith and may want to become Catholic should contact the Office of Adult Faith Formation, 713.403.4114.

Pastoral Care & Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound Do you know someone who is ill, home-bound, in the hospital, or in an assisted living facility and in need of pastoral care? For those in need of prayer, Holy Communion, a pastoral visit and/or those who are interested in visiting the homebound or assisted living in need of prayer shouldcontact Sister Ginny Braniff, MA at 713.621.4370.

Anointing of the Sick

Parishioners scheduled for serious surgery should receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick prior to their hospitalization. Please contact the parish office, 713.621.4370.

Those in danger of death due to sickness or old age should

be anointed and receive Viaticum. Please call

713.540.1020.

Mass Time Change: Beginning on Sunday, January 7, 2018 the start time for 12:45pm Mass will be

1:00pm. This modest change will allow additional time for the Church and parking lot to clear out after the

11:00am Mass and allow more time to prepare for the next Mass.

Social Justice News

Annual Christmas Party with San Francisco Nativity Academy

St. Michael’s Social Justice Ministry and Youth Faith Formation partnered together to host

a Christmas party for the young students of San Francisco Nativity Academy. Those who

participated in our Adopt-A-Family program had the opportunity to meet the students

they adopted and deliver their presents. Thank you to all those who gave of their talents,

time, and treasures!

As part of our Advent theme, “Becoming Christmas,” the activity for Tuesday, December

19th will be collecting NEW winter accessories for the homeless. These items include

scarves, gloves, socks, and hats. Please bring items to the Penance Service that Tuesday at

7pm. All items will be donated to SEARCH Homeless Services.

we'll hop on our "county sleigh" and tour some

of Houston's famous and most beautiful Christmas

light displays in River Oaks, Tanglewood, and

beyond. This is a ride-around - no walking. We will

stop for a Restroom/Ice Cream break at McDonald's

Post Oak. Early dinner at Luby's Post
