A Prayer for the School Year
Father, we praise You for who You are. We give You thanks because You created us in your own image.
We pray for sound decisions about the coming school year. Also, we pray for knowledge and understanding for teachers, students and parents. We pray that you will be with teachers and students as they start a new school year. We pray that you will give students tenacity as they seek for un-derstanding and new revelations in their studies. Father we also pray for parents, that they will support students by building a closer working relationship with teachers and staff.

FROM MY VILLAGE IN INDIA On behalf of Being Kind Foundation, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Fr Jack, Fr Reynor, and St. Stephen’s parish office staff for being the supporters of this charitable cause since the beginning. I have no words that could express my heart out to all parish-ioners, friends and well-wishers from St. Stephen’s parish, Warwick, for your selfless contribution to BEING KIND FOUNDATION for the education of the poor children in and around my village in India. I have received all your donations. Your donation has been very important for us especially at this difficult time of the year when the whole world is gripped in the pandemic and hope seemed like a distant phenomenon. It has helped the continuity of our commitment to serve the weak and discriminated section of our society, that is to say, the de-serving children from the poor catholic families. This would have not been successful without your act of generosity. With a great satisfaction let me share with you that your con-tinued act of generosity has helped us again this year to bring into realization of our dream of sending 55 children to school and, besides, we have been able to support children’s families with some kind of continued food supplies as this time when the families have nothing to live on. All of you deserve our sincere thanks and appreciation. Moreover, thanks to Doctor Medici family and friends, last year we could send five girls such as Fidelish Bero, Mamini Nayak, Manini Nayak, Pujarani Nayak, Sibani Patra, and this year again two more girls: Rani Esther Nayak and Soheli Sual Singh for pursuing Nursing Course such as GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) and ANM (Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery). It was beyond their capacity even to dream of. They are blessed to be the first ones in our locality to go for such kind of course and I am sure it will not only bring financial stability to the family but also have a strong impact on our locality in the aspect of maternal care which has been neglected due to no proper medical facili-ty. I am really blessed to be the part of the beautiful community that St. Stephen’s parish holds wherein live such a nice people like all of you. Mother’s Cupboard The Warwick Valley Knights Of Columbus Council 4952 con-tinue to collect NY deposit cans and bottles in the bin next to the church in the clergy parking lot. All of the redemption pro-ceeds are donated to Mother’s Cupboard to help support this Pro Life Ministry. At present, mom’s are picking up needed baby items provided by Mother’s Cupboard at the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pan-try located in the Warwick Methodist Church.

Town of Warwick Friendly Visitor Program
Volunteers provide transportation and escort to local ap-pointments, grocery shopping, home visits, clerical assis-tance, as well as other services. Volunteers are trained, insured while they are volunteering, asked to donate two to three hours per week at a convenient time, and go through a background check at not charge.
