From the Pastor Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Servers’ Picnic TODAY!!! This Sunday, September 25th all the servers at Sts.Peter and Paul parish are invited to a picnic starting at noon today in the ballfield behind the school. There will be food for all the families and the altar boys and an opportunity to visit with each other and play some basketball or soccer or volley ball if we get the net up in time. We are scheduling the picnic so that the boys who serve at the English Masses and Latin Mass and some of the altar boys who serve at the 7:00 am. and 6:00 p.m. Spanish Masses might be able to come at noon to start the picnic. And then after the 12:30 p.m. Spanish Mass another wave of servers will start with their picnic with more food being prepared. This event will be extended until 4:00 p.m. I hope everyone will participate. FORTY DAYS FOR LIFE KICK OFF On Wednesday of this week the 40 Days for Life Campaign will kick off at the Garden of Hope in front of the Abortion Clinic starting at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is invited attend this event to get us started on the right note for the extended Vigil of prayer that will last until November 6th. There will be people at the Garden Of Hope day and night in prayer and supplication asking for an end of the unjust law allowing the killing of unborn babies and praying for the people involved in this business. Parishes and institutions from across the Diocese will be participating. Our participation as a parish will be on Sunday, October 2nd from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Ginnet Carbajal is in charge of making sure there will be representatives from our parish in all of those hours. First Saturday, October 1st This coming Saturday is the First Saturday of October and the Feast of St.Therese the Little Flower. The First Friday, however is the following Friday, October 7th, Feast of the Holy Rosary. Therefore we will celebrate the Latin Mass at noon this coming Saturday like we always do for the First Saturday in reparation for the sins committed against

Other News

We are getting closer and closer to the goal of eliminating the debt on the St.Toribio Chapel. We are down to about $9,000.00 that we still owe. The Hispanic Choir is selling CD’s and hope to raise the remaining money that we need for the Chapel debt to be completely eliminated. Let us hope and pray that soon it will be gone. Also, we still haven’t heard anything from the Sisters in El Salvador and so are still awaiting their meeting with the Immigration Office. Please continue to pray that soon they will be given an appointment and be on their way to our parish. We have been waiting since March!! Take care and remember that October is the month of the Holy Rosary. We are trying to organize leaders to pray the rosary before each Mass during the month of October and we encourage all the families to participate here or in their own homes. Sincerely yours, Father Timothy Davison

DDF we are still needing $1,670.00 to reach our goal for the Diocesan Development Campaign. We are asked by the Diocese to try to reach a certain goal and we are almost there. Please be sure to put Sts.Peter and Paul parish DDF on the memo of the Check so that the Diocese will know that it is for our DDF Campaign goal.
