From the Pastor Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, This will be the last time I write

you a bulletin letter. Next Saturday, July 1st will be Father Mike Knipe’s first day as Pastor of Sts.Peter and Paul Parish. On Sunday, July 2nd Bishop Konderla will be here at the 9:00 a.m. Mass to officially install Father Mike Knipe as the Pastor. I will be present for that Mass of installation and for the reception to follow but then I will leave for Ohio. I hope that everyone will try to make it to the 9:00 a.m. Mass even if that is not the Mass that you usually attend. It would be wonderful to see everyone there to welcome Father Mike Knipe and to participate in his installation. After the Mass it would be great if everyone went to the cafeteria too to welcome him to the parish. It would mean a great deal to him and his family. On July 1st , 1950 Father Coury was installed as the first Pastor of Sts.Peter and Paul and so 67 years later Father Mike Knipe takes over the care of the community on precisely the same date. It is quite a different community than it was in 1950 but there is a great spirit here as there was then. At Sts.Peter and Paul parish there are many devout and committed Catholics who love Our Lord very much and His Blessed Mother. As the final act of my own fourteen year pastorate here at Sts.Peter and Paul parish I would like to consecrate all of the families of the parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It just so happens that the Pilgrim Statue of Fatima will be coming to our parish on Friday, June 30th at 6:00 p.m. We will “greet” the statue outside of the rectory and form a procession with her image crowned for the occasion. The procession will travel around the block and then enter the Church where the statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be enthroned .The religious brothers and sisters of the Alliance of the Two Hearts will help us with the ceremony of her crowning etc. This religious congregation originates in the Phillipines and is devoted to consecrating families to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. They travel around the world giving conferences, retreats, and missions to promote devotion to Jesus and Mary. I am very happy they are going to be here with us for this visit of Our Lady of Fatima.

When we enter the Church at around 7:00 p.m. after the procession we will celebrate a Spanish Mass and have a family consecration. Afterwards there will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until 2:00 a.m. The parish groups will take turns keeping a prayerful vigil during these hours. Then, at 8:30 a.m. Holy Mass will again be celebrated but in English this time. Again after the Mass there will be a family consecration but this time in English. This coming Saturday will be first Saturday of July and so it is an appropriate time to be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to honor her requests at Fatima to pray her rosary, receive confession, and Holy Communion and meditate on the rosary mysteries for a period of 15 minutes in a spirit of reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I will be available for confessions after the 8:30 a.m. Mass until around 10:00 a.m. I will also be available for confessions on Friday night after the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until about 10:00 p.m. At noon on Saturday, July 1st there will be a Latin Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Most Precious Blood because July 1st is the date of that Feast in the Traditional calendar of the Mass. After that Latin Mass there will be another family consecration to the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary and a period of prayer, especially of the holy rosary. I will be available again for confessions following the Latin Mass. The statue of Our Lady of Fatima will stay in the Church through the day on Saturday and through the 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening Mass. It will also remain in the Church throughout the morning Masses of Sunday until around 1:30 p.m. at which time it will be brought to St.Pius X Church. During this week we will also celebrate our Patronal Feast of the Solemnity of Sts.Peter and Paul on June 29th. To do so we will have a Spanish Mass at 7:00 p.m. on the Vigil of the Solemnity, June 28th with choir, servers and both Father Elmer and myself concelebrating the Mass. And then on Thursday, June 29th at 8:30 a.m. there will an English Mass and it will probably be followed by a reception that the summer camp children will provide. They usually sing some songs as well. And then finally at 7:00 p.m. that evening of Thursday, June 29th there will be a Latin solemn high Mass with Deacons Erick Bell and Kevin Sartorious and myself. I hope that you will be able to make it to at least one of these three Feast Day Masses.

God bless each of you. This is my last week here at the parish and I just wanted to say how grateful I am to God for allowing me to serve you during these past fourteen years as Pastor. It has indeed been a great joy and I have learned much in the course of those years. You have given me more than you realize and I will truly miss you all. May God’s holy peace be ever with you and may the maternal embrace of our Mother Mary give you protection and assistance as you travel to our true homeland in heaven. The Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma is proud to present the

2017 Tulsa Catechetical Conference.

The entire Conference will run concurrently in English & Spanish · Speakers include Dr. Edward Sri, Msgr. Eduardo Chávez, PhD, Dr. Carole Brown (OKC), and many others. · Approximately 50 hotel rooms have been set aside for rural parishioners with a rural reception w/ Bishop the night before The Conference is on August 19, 2017 at the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown Tulsa with doors opening at 8:00 am with a continental breakfast and talks beginning at 9:00 am. The Conference will end with Holy Mass and a blessing of the catechists at Holy Family Cathedral at 5:00 pm. Tickets are $15.00 per person. Lunch provided.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo, Esta será la última vez que te escriba una carta de boletín. El próximo sábado, 1 de julio será el primer día del Padre Mike Knipe como Pastor de Sts. Peter y Paul Parish. El domingo 2 de julio, el Obispo Konderla estará aquí en la Misa de las 9:00 am para instalar oficialmente al Padre Mike Knipe como Pastor. Estaré presente para esa Misa de instalación y para que la recepción siga, pero luego me iré a Ohio. Espero que todo el mundo intente llegar a la Misa de las 9:00 am aunque no sea la Misa a la que normalmente asisten. Sería maravilloso ver a todos allí dar la bienvenida al Padre Mike Knipe y participar en su instalación. Después de la Misa sería estupendo que todos también fueran a la cafetería para darle la bienvenida a la parroquia. Significaría mucho para él y su familia El 1 de julio de 1950 el Padre Coury fue instalado como el primer Pastor de Sts. Peter y Paul y así 67 años más tarde el Padre Mike Knipe se hace cargo del cuidado de la comunidad precisamente en la misma fecha. Es una comunidad muy diferente de lo que era en 1950, pero hay un gran espíritu aquí como lo era entonces. En la parroquia Sts.Peter y Paul hay muchos católicos devotos y comprometidos que aman mucho a Nuestro Señor ya Su Santísima Madre. Como el acto final de mis 14 años de pastorado aquí en la parroquia Sts. Peter y Paul, quisiera consagrar a todas las familias de la parroquia al Inmaculado Corazón de María. Sucede que la Estatua Peregrina de Fátima llegará a nuestra parroquia el viernes 30 de junio a las 6:00 p.m. Saludaremos la estatua fuera de la rectoría y formamos una procesión con su

Santos Pedro y Pablo el 29 de junio. Para ello tendremos una misa española a las 7:00 p.m. En la Vigilia de la Solemnidad, el 28 de junio con coro, servidores y Padre Elmer y yo concelebrando la Misa. Y luego el jueves 29 de junio a las 8:30 am habrá una Misa Inglesa y probablemente será seguida por una recepción que Los niños del campamento de verano proporcionará. Por lo general, cantan algunas canciones también. Y luego finalmente a las 7:00 p.m. Esa noche del jueves 29 de junio habrá una misa solemne latina con los diáconos Erick Bell y Kevin Sartorious y yo. Espero que podáis llegar a por lo menos una de estas tres Misas del Día del Fiesta. Dios bendiga a cada uno de ustedes. Esta es mi última semana aquí en la parroquia y sólo quería decir lo agradecido que estoy de Dios por permitirme servirle durante estos últimos catorce años como Pastor. Ha sido realmente una gran alegría y he aprendido mucho en el transcurso de esos años. Me has dado más de lo que te das cuenta y te echaré verdaderamente de menos. Que la santa paz de Dios esté siempre contigo y que el abrazo materno de nuestra Madre María te dé protección y ayuda mientras viajas a nuestra verdadera patria en el cielo. imagen coronada para la ocasión. La procesión recorrerá el bloque y luego entrará a la Iglesia donde entronizará la estatua de Nuestra Señora de Fátima. Los religiosos y hermanas de la Alianza de los Dos Corazones nos ayudarán con la ceremonia de su coronación, etc. Esta congregación religiosa se origina en Filipinas y se dedica a consagrar familias a los Sagrados Corazones de Jesús y María. Viajan alrededor del mundo dando conferencias, retiros y misiones para promover la devoción a Jesús y María. Estoy muy contento de que estén aquí con nosotros para esta visita de Nuestra Señora de Fátima. Cuando entramos en la Iglesia alrededor de las 7:00 p.m. Después de la procesión celebraremos una Misa española y tendremos una consagración familiar. Después se realizará la exposición del Santísimo Sacramento hasta las 2:00 a.m. Los grupos parroquiales se turnarán para mantener una vigilia de oración durante estas horas. Luego, a las 8:30 am, la Santa Misa será nuevamente celebrada pero en inglés esta vez. Una vez más después de la Misa habrá una consagración familiar, pero esta vez en inglés. Este sábado será el primer sábado de julio y es un momento apropiado para ser consagrado al Inmaculado Corazón de María y para honrar sus peticiones en Fátima para rezar su rosario, recibir confesión y Santa Comunión y meditar en los misterios del rosario para Un período de 15 minutos en un espíritu de reparación por los pecados cometidos contra el Inmaculado Corazón de María. Estaré disponible para las confesiones después de la Misa de las 8:30 am hasta alrededor de las 10:00 a.m. También estaré disponible para las confesiones el viernes por la noche después de la exposición del Santísimo hasta las 10:00 p.m. A mediodía del sábado 1 de julio habrá una Misa latina para celebrar la Fiesta de la Más Preciosa Sangre porque el 1 de julio es la fecha de esa Fiesta en el Calendario Tradicional de la Misa. Después de esa Misa Latina habrá otra consagración familiar a Los Dos Corazones de Jesús y María y un período de oración, especialmente del Santo Rosario. Estaré disponible nuevamente para confesiones después de la misa latina. La estatua de Nuestra Señora de Fátima permanecerá en la Iglesia durante el día del sábado y hasta las 6:00 p.m. Misa del sábado por la noche. También permanecerá en la Iglesia a lo largo de las misas matutinas del domingo hasta alrededor de las 13:30 p.m. Momento en el que será llevado a la Iglesia San Pío X.
