OUR PRAYER CHAIN LINE- You can call Audrey at 878-7125. She will con-tact others who have committed to praying for your loved one.
Come early to say the Rosary – Every weekend one half hour
before Mass begins we recite the Rosary in church. Weekends ONLY. Morning Offering Prayer: O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers,
works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of
the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of your
Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of
all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all
Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy
Father this month.
The Pope asks us to pray for two intentions each month. These
are the intentions for April:
♦ Creation ~ That people may learn to respect creation and care
for it as a gift of God.
♦ Persecuted Christians ~ That persecuted Christians may feel
the consoling presence of the Risen Lord and the solidarity of
all the Church.

A Family Perspective ~ April 19, 2015
The apostles were afraid of Jesus until
he ate with them and they touched him. In your
family the ordinary acts of eating together, touch-
ing, embracing not only confirm our love for each
other, but also celebrate God’s presence in your
family. These ‘ordinary’ moments contain the
extraordinary.
Food Donations Needed The UCOM food pantry is in need
of the following items:
Rice, pasta (all kinds), Mac & cheese,
canned fruit & canned corn
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who helped to make our Holy
Week and Easter liturgies so beautiful again
this year: our Chrism Mass representatives,
foot washing volunteers, choir, liturgical
ministers and anyone who worked behind
the scenes.

Eucharistic Adoration ~
Monday’s 9:00 AM—7:00 PM God is everywhere, in the very air I breathe,
yes everywhere, but in His Sacrament of the
altar He is as present actually and really as my
soul within my body; in His Sacrifice daily of-
fered as really as once offered on the cross.

At the dawn on the first day of the week...there was a
violent earthquake. Mt 28:1-2
REFLECTION: In the Old Testament, earthquakes are a sign of
the coming of God, the breaking in of the new age in which God’s
kingdom will flourish. That is what happens, of course, at the
Resurrection. A new chapter of history now begins in which the
risen life of Christ is accepted by believers and overcomes human-
ity’s slavery to death.
PRAYER: Father, in the light of the Resurrection, may we con-
tinue to extend Your victory over death.
This week you will receive a letter from Bishop Walkowiak asking you to make a commitment to support the work of our diocesan programs and ministries that provide services that no one parish could provide on its own through the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). Your gift to CSA enables diocesan and parish ministries to reach out to people in our 11 counties in a variety of ways, including formation of our seminarians; youth programming; support for the home-bound and those who are incarcerated; families who are struggling; the hungry; and the homeless. Through CSA we all work together to care for the Church by sharing the gifts God has granted us. Our parish goal for 2015 is $150,890 and 100% participation, which means a pledge card from every parish family. Any Credit/Debit Card pledges or automatic electronic monthly payments from a bank account must be m a d e o n t h e s e c u r e w e b s i t e : www.dioceseofgrandrapids.org/CSA. Please experience the joy of giving and join us as we work to continue God’s work of spirituality, charity, and education.
CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL update Not a day goes by that Holy Family Radio isn’t blessed without hearing
from those lives that have been
impacted for the good through their programming. By e-mail, phone
conversations, or USPS mail, they
hear stories of lives saved, marriages saved, conversions, reversions and more. Please mark your calendars for May 5, 6, 7 & 8 and prayerfully consider
supporting Catholic radio during the 2015 Spring Pledge Drive, “A Light in the
Darkness.” To view the 33-hour schedule, go to www.holyfamilyradio.net.

MISSION OF THE CHURCH -
Of her very nature, the Church is missionary. This means her members are called by God to bring the Gospel by word and deed to all peoples and to every situation of work, education, culture, and commu-nal life in which human beings find each other. The members of the Church seek to transform society not by power but by persuasion and by example.
