Mientras hablaban de esas cosas, se presentó Jesús en medio de ellos y les dijo: “La paz esté con ustedes”. Ellos, descon-certados y llenos de temor, creían ver un fantasma. Pero él les dijo: “No teman; soy yo. ¿Por qué se espantan? ¿Por qué surgen dudas en su interior? Miren mis manos y mis pies. Soy yo en persona. Tóquenme y convénzanse: un fantasma no tiene ni carne ni huesos, como ven que tengo yo”. Y les mostró las manos y los pies. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, be-cause a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.” And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. While they were still incredu-lous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them.

padeció bajo el poder de Poncio Pilato, fue crucificado, muerto y sepultado, descendió a los infiernos, al tercer día resucitó de entre los muertos, subió a los cielos y está sentado a la derecha de Dios, Padre todopoderoso. Desde allí ha de venir a juzgar a vivos y

1. Day of arising, Christ on the road way, unknown companion walks with his own. When they invite him, as fades the first day, and bread is broken, Christ is made known.

2. When we are walking, doubtful and dreading, blinded by sadness, slowness of heart, yet Christ walks with us, ever awaiting our invitation: Stay, do not part.

3. Lo, I am with you, Jesus has spoken. This is Christ’s promise, this is Christ’s sign: when the church gathers, when bread is broken, there Christ is with us in bread and wine.

4. Christ, our companion, hope for the journey, bread of compassion, open our eyes. Grant us your vision, set all hearts burning that all creation with you may rise.

Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore you: by the same Spirit graciously make holy these gifts we have brought to you for consecration, that they may become the Body and X Blood of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command we celebrate these mysteries.

Look, we pray, upon the oblation of your Church and, recognizing the sacrificial Victim by whose death you willed to rec-oncile us to yourself, grant that we, who are nourished by the Body and Blood of your Son and filled with his Holy Spirit, may become one body, one spirit in Christ. May he make of us an eternal offering to you, so that we may obtain an inheri-tance with your elect, especially with the most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with blessed Joseph, her Spouse with your blessed Apostles and glori-ous Martyrs and with all the Saints, on whose constant intercession in your presence we rely for unfailing help.
