PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY Do you like to crochet or knit? If so, please join us on Wednesday, February 12th at 11 am in the PAC "C" room. The St. Lucy Prayer Shawl is looking for more creative and committed ladies who love to crochet and/or knit. God Bless.

Annual Mardi Gras Celebrations March 1st Mardi Gras is celebrated around the world on the day be-fore Ash Wednesday as a way to indulge before we start our Lenten journey. Let's continue our St. Lucy's tradition of bringing a "pot luck" dish so that we can share good food, listen to great music and enjoy an evening with friends old and new. Look for additional information over the next few weeks as we get closer to this fun-filled event.

First Wednesday Mass and Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Everyone is invited this coming Wed., Feb. 5, to celebrate the Novena-Mass in honor of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The Novena-Mass is celebrated at St. Lucy church every first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM. On other Wednesdays, a Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help is observed at 6:30PM preceded by the praying of the Holy Rosary at 6PM.

ADORATION Every Thursday, 9:00AM - 5:45PM.

EUCHARISTIC EXPOSITION AND BENEDICTION “The worship given to the Trinity of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…must fill our churches also outside the timeline of the Masses… This worship must be prominent in all our encounters with the Blessed Sacrament… Adoration of the Christ in this sacrament of love must also find expression in various forms of Eucharistic devotion: personal prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, hours of adoration, periods of exposition - short, prolonged, and annual (Forty Hours) - Eucharistic benediction, Eucharistic processions, Eucharistic Congresses… Let us be generous with our time in going to meet him in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make repara-tion for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease.” Blessed John Paul II

LIFETEEN LifeTeen will NOT be meeting tonight Sunday Febru-ary 3, 2014. See you next week.

Fr. Kevin’s Spirit-Seekers’ Seminar - Sunday, February 9, 4:00-5:45 pm, P.A.C. If you are looking for support and guidance in your spiritual life and your journey to becoming an “intentional disciple,” come to Fr. Kevin’s seminar on February 9. He will present teachings from the great spiritual mas-ter, St. Teresa of Avila, found in her classic book, The Interior Castle. Topic: The Sixth Dwelling Places -- Intimacy with Jesus, “The Spiritual Betrothal” (pp., 359-426)

Health update from Fr. Kevin Many parishioners have asked me about my health. My foot problem is due to Neuropathy and a bone spur. I am presently working with an Orthopedist to find a long-term solution. My other health issue is calcification of the arteries. Although I eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly, the disease runs in my family and is exacerbated by stress. My cardiologist wants me to take a few months for “cardiac rehab” which I intend to do July 7 – October 11 of this year. Fr. Bob Mo-ran will take my place during that time. I thank you for your concern and prayers.

2nd Quarter Financial Update to the Parish

During the first 6 months of this fiscal year (Jul 1st to Dec 31st) our overall revenues are on track, although the Sacramental Offerings (Weddings, Baptisms, etc) are off from projections. Additionally, we are significantly higher than last year as we did not begin our Stewardship program until this time last year. Expenses are higher than expected because of some of the security projects implemented this year as well as some ex-traordinary Admin expenses for special projects. Cash Flow to date is a positive. We are on track to replace some of our savings this year. Collections Report: Year to date Dec 31st collections from all sources totaled $536,807. The budgeted amount was $515,943. We appreciate your continued support.

Pancake Breakfast: Sunday, Feb. 9th is Scouting Sun-day. Please join the St. Lucy Booster Club for a pancake breakfast in their honor. The breakfast will take place in the annex after the 9am mass. Tickets are $6 at the door.

MANTON DE ORACION ¿Le gustaría hacer ganchillo o tejer?
