Christmas 2016
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Joyfully I wish all of you a very blessed and merry Christmas. Our joy is deep-felt. Ours is a joy born from faith – a faith within reach of each and every one as long as we have the humility to yield to the mystery of the sacred event that happened that holy night in the little town of Bethlehem. A Child was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a woman, safeguarded under the protective care of a man. On that still and silent night in Bethlehem, as the world securely slept, the prophetic utterances of Isaiah were fulfilled in the joyous proclamation of the angel that a savior had come who was Christ the Lord and could be found wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Ah, the mystery of mysteries! Before God would save us, He humbly yielded to the Holy Virgin Mary and the chaste Joseph that in the weakness of our flesh, He Himself would be taught – that He Himself would be fed. We are humbled that God came in the weakness of our flesh. We are humbled still, that God deems us worthy to share in His sacred power to participate in the work of the Blessed Virgin and Holy Joseph. This Christmas we joyfully usher in the yearlong celebration of the 150th Jubilee of St. Stanislaus Kostka. May the Jubilee Year find us ever more committed to the faith of our ancestors and like them, laboring for the glory of God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests. Estimados Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo, Con júbilo les deseo a todos ustedes una feliz Navidad llena de muchas bendiciones. Nuestro júbilo se siente de una manera profunda. Nuestro júbilo es nacido de la fe – una fe que es alcanzable para cada uno y todos mientras que tengamos la humildad de rendirnos al misterio del evento sagrado que se llevó a cabo en esa noche santa en el pequeño pueblo de Belén. Una Creatura fue concebida por el Espíritu Santo y nacido de una mujer, protegido bajo el cuidado protector de un hombre. En esa noche tranquila y silenciosa en Belén, mientras que el mundo dormía con seguridad, las palabras proféticas de Isaías fueron realizadas por medio de la proclamación jubilosa del Ángel que un Salvador había venido el cual era Cristo el Señor quien podía ser encontrado envuelto en pañales y acostado sobre un pesebre. ¡Ah, el misterio de misterios! Antes de que Dios nos salvara, Él humildemente se entregó a la Santa Virgen María y al casto José que en la debilidad de nuestra carne, Él mismo sería instruido – y Él mismo sería alimentado. Nos humillamos ante Dios porque Dios vino en la debilidad de nuestra carne. Nos humillamos aún, porque Dios nos hace dignos de compartir en Su poder sagrado de participar en el trabajo de la Santísima Virgen y de San José. En esta Navidad entramos con gozo a la celebración de un año entero del Jubileo de 150 años de San Estanislao Kostka. Que el Año Jubilar nos encuentre comprometidos más que nunca a la fe de nuestros antepasados y como ellos, trabajando para la Gloria de Dios en lo más alto y que la paz en la tierra sea derramada sobre aquellos en quienes se encuentra Su favor. CONTEMPLATIVES IN ACTION at ST. STANISLAUS KOSTKA PARISH
THE SANCTUARY OF DIVINE MERCY
First Friday Evenings before Mass from 6 pm to 7 pm
God speaks to us every day. You can hear Him if you listen. Contemplatives in Action is a group of men and women who are seeking to find “God in all things”. Through the Examen Prayer of St. Ignatius Loyola we see how the Lord is working in our lives in the moments of each day.
We contemplate the word of God. "Contemplation" is the word St. Ignatius used to describe the type of prayer he recommends in that part of the Spiritual Exercises where he shows us how to grow in intimacy with our Lord. After listening to the Gospel, we have a conversation about how the Lord is speaking to us and inviting us to respond through our actions.

Valentine Dinner Dance
Save the date: Saturday, February 11, 2017 A Valentine Dinner Dance. Join your St. Stan's family at Mass at 5:00 p.m. where we will celebrate God's institution of marriage. This will be followed by a Dinner Dance for couples, singles, all adults in the school hall. Tickets are $20 per person which includes dinner and dancing. A cash bar will be available.
