The United States Naval Academy Alumni Association –Texas Gulf Coast Foundation

On July 12th of 2014, our local Naval Academy Alumni Foundation held its first charitable event, a Top Gun themed benefit. The event was conceived to partner with other Military/Veteran organizations and not only provide financial support, but also create an event that will bring attention to Veteran’s causes and drive camaraderie in the local community. With over 150 attendees, great feedback, and donations totaling more than $6000 to Team Red, White, and Blue and USO Houston last year, the Top Gun Benefit is a success that we want to duplicate in 2015.

On July 11th of 2015, we will be holding our second annual Top Gun Benefit that will again be in support of Team Red, White, and Blue and the USO Houston. The event will be hosted at the Wakefield Crow Bar. Come out and play beach volleyball and other themed events, dress up like your favorite character, and rock to some Kenny Loggins…all in an environment full of Veterans, their families, friends, and supporters.

We have strong interest in the Top Gun Benefit and expect a large showing again this year. To make the event successful and allow us to best support Veterans’ charities, we are looking for the backing of local businesses, companies, or individuals who are willing to provide sponsorship or donations. Sponsorship can be in the form of goods/services/cash or you can provide cash donations. Your support will be met with recognition of sponsorship or donation at the event and through our online and social media channels. Us being a 501(c)3 organization also makes donations tax deductible, and all proceeds will go to benefit our charity partners.
