PARISH LEADERSHIP - LECTOR THERESA ANGELILLO grew up in Augusta, Geor-gia. She, along with her husband and seven chil-dren, began attending Mass at Guardian Angels in 1967. Theresa has served our parish in many ways including 33 yrs. as a CCD teacher, choir member, member of the Rosary Altar Society, part-time Sac-

ristan, Eucharistic Minister & Lector. Being a member of our parish teaches her to be humble.

Church Humor What happened to the man who stole an Advent Calen-dar? He got 25 days!

And, it is a time of emotional complexi-ty that is part of this holiday season - with all of the expec-tations and challenges of family and relationships: who we want to be with and who we struggle to be with. So, our hearts are a bit tender, if not completely defended from ex-

periencing anything deeply. We are about to hear some very powerful and stirring readings from Isaiah, the Prophet. We will re-enter the ancient tradition of a people longing for the coming of a Savior. We may remember the days of our childhood when we longed for Christmas to come, because it was a magical time of receiving gifts. As adults, we have to ask ourselves: "What is it I long for now?" The answer
