Performance Exhaust and Remap forAudi S6 4.0 V8 Twin Turbo

AmD and their tuning partners Milltek have both been working on a tuning package for the latest Audi S6 4.0V8 Twin-Turbo.

The exhaust system is available as a CAT-back system in either resonated or non-resonated form. Theresonated is no louder than the original while the non resonated is louder but not so loud as to overwhelmoccupants or introduce drone into the cabin at speed or when cruising. Power and torque both increase overtheir stock figures, with an additional 18bhp and 21Nm of torque being released.

AmD Tuning has developed a software remap for the car designed to work in harmony with the exhaust. Thecombination of the exhaust and the software upgrade further boost power and torque figures.

The cat-back exhaust prices start from £1680.82 inc vat for the non-resonated version. AmD offer free fittingon the exhaust system and the remap is available at half price if purchased with the exhaust.

DEI ‘Titanium’ Pipe Shield

Over the years DEI have made quite a name for themselves in the heat protection world. Theirlatest offering is a pipe shield that provides heat protection up to 732°C.

The DEI ‘Titanium’ Pipe Shield doesn’t actually contain any titanium but it does give titanium-likeprotection. The pipe shield is actually made from Lava Rock fibres and is a two-ply material. Theouter layer is made from pulverized and stranded lava rock with a tightly woven weave for durabilityand strength. The inside material is made of a special high temperature resistant fabric (89% silica)designed to withstand 176 degrees Celsius more heat than glass fibre. This proprietary fibretechnology, combined with DEI’s unique shield standoff bracket creates an air gap between theshield and pipe that together provides maximum cooling and heat dissipation.

The heat shield provides protection in critical areas such as near transmissions, brake lines, wiring,fuel tanks and pipes, floor panels and where an exposed exhaust is present. JE-Design Porsche Panamera 970StylingYou might wonder why anyone who has bought aPorsche Panamera would want to changes it, but thenew upgrades from JE Design offer many practicalfeatures aside from a fresh look. The air flow to theintercooler is improved. Daytime driving lights / markerlights and blinking LEDs are now integrated into theelaborate double bars on the front intakes.

A fixed rear spoiler is available as an option, and the complete rear skirt with its diffuser has a removable cover on theunderside, meaning that the Porsche tow bar can still be used. The rear skirt will also accomodate the standardexhaust system or a JE DESIGN stainless steel cat-back exhaust system including valve control (only with petrolengines). A stainless steel exhaust system without valve control is available for the diesel model. Each of the fourround tailpipes has a diameter of 100 millimeters.

JE DESIGN air-suspension lowers the chassis by between 20 and 30 millimeters, electronically adjusting thePorsche’s pneumatic suspension.“Pandora” design light allot rims - available in 9 and 10.5 x 22” versions - feature matt black spokes and a stainlesssteel surround. The complete wheel set is equiped with 265/30R22 and 295/25R22 large high-performance tyres.Naturally the functionality of the infinitely adjustable “Porsche Active Suspension Management” (PASM) damping sys-tem, with its three programs: “Comfort”, “Sport” and “Sport Plus”, is retained.

JE DESIGN power increase packages for the Panamera Diesel and the Panamera Turbo are available.

Panamera 3.0-litre, six cylinder Diesel:Power increases ffrom 184 kW (250 BHP) to 221 kW (300 BHP)Torque increases from 550 Nm to 650 Nm.0-60 mph is now within 6.5 seconds (compared with 6.8 secs for the standard model).Top speed increases from 150 to 155 mph.

Panamera 4.8-litre eight-cylinder Bi-Turbo:Power increases from 368 kW (500 BHP) to 441 kW (600 BHP)Torque increases from 700 Nm to 850 Nm0-60 mph is now 3.8 seconds (compared with 4.2 secs for the standard model).The top speed of 188 mph remains unchanged.

For years classic Porsche, aircooled Beetle and American V8 owners have been using Weber downdra� IDA carburetorsto improve the performance of their engines. Now Jenvey have a thro-le body designed to replace the IDA carbure-or tofacilitate a conversion to EFi.

Most no,ceable is the bore spacing of these thro-le bodies. Most Weber carbs have a bore spacing of 90mm but theIDA/TA has a larger one of 120mm. Jenvey’s TAP48i also has a bore spacing of 120mm making them suitable for classicBeetle and Bus four cylinder engines and 289 Cobras and 427 bigblock engines.

Viper Performance Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Gauge

Viper Performance, European distributors of Aeromotive Products have just announced a newAeromotive Fuel Pressure Gauge that is available in two versions. A 0 - 15 psi version forcarburettor systems and a 0 - 100 psi gauge for fuel injection systems.

This is a ‘dry’ fuel pressure gauge (i.e. not liquid filled) with a diameter of 1.5” and comes with a1/8’ NPT male connection to connect straight onto the regulator in the engine bay.

Order SKU 15632 for the 0~15 PSI version and SKU 15633 for the 0~100 PSI.
