Production Department

The production department is responsible for converting inputs into outputsthrough the stages of production processes.

There are three production sub-functions:

1. Production and planningThey will set the standards and targets at each stage of the production process.The quantity and quality of products coming off a production line will beclosely monitored.

2. PurchasingThis department will provide the materials, components and equipmentrequired. An essential part of this responsibility is to ensure that stocks arriveon time and are of good quality

3. The design and technical support departmentThey are responsible for the design and testing of new product processes andproduct types, together with the development of prototypes through to the finalproduct.

makes the reaction time very short about 1/1000 s.

The full-cycle efficiency of the battery is relatively low (75% - 80%),

chemical reactions, e.g. forming of hydrogen.

The system does not have any self-discharge, as the electrolytes cannot

react when they are stored separately

Operation

The electrolyte is prepared by dissolving vanadium pent-oxide(V2O5) in sulphuric acid (H2SO4).

The Negative half cells of electrolyte contains only V2+ and V3+

ions and the positive half-cell electrolyte contains onlyVO2+(V4+) and VO2

+(V5+) ions.

Both the electrolyte solution are stored separately in storage tankand pump is used to circulate through cell.

The reaction take place on graphite felt electrode and electronsare transferred to other cell.
