Description:
Fleet Air Arm Royal Australian Navy Landing Signal Officer Logbook for VF-805 Squadron early 1980 using A-4G Skyhawks. Logbook records details of each carrier landing to HMAS Melbourne by each pilot during the cruise in 1980. Later entries are for FCLP later that year or 1981. AM Mark Binskin is recorded there as Midshipman in FAA.

Max. Landing FuelIf the max. arrestor gear speed (ground speed) was 107 knots then an A4G had to have at least 21 knots of wind and ship speed combined to be able to land at the max. landing weight of 14,500 lbs (roughly 2.500 lbs of fuel minus weight of external, expended stores, i.e. empty rocket pods or buddy store.)
