** The marking scale may change slightly from program to program

We have a 13 point marking scale that is used to

calculate your grades. For example, if you receive a 75% on a paper or exam,

that percentage falls in the B letter grade range. This

letter grade translates to a 9 on the grade point scale.

Your program may require you to maintain a certain grade point average to remain in the program.

Answer: THINK AHEAD

Page 16: Virtual Orientation 2011 Student Information Session “Mission Possible” CONFIDENTIAL.

When in doubt, never rely on only one alarm clock

1. Always allow extra time, especially when heading to write an exam (car breaks down, no parking, wrong room number etc.)

2. Use timelines, goals, and to-do lists whenpossible. Pick up your FREE student planner during Windsor Welcome Week.

3. Avoid procrastination, you don’t want to fall behind4. Prioritize. Some things are just more important – like studying for

an exam vs. being on Facebook5. For more tips – check out a S.T.E.P.S. or Campus Life Line

workshop (websites later in the presentation)
