A Message from Mrs. Earle

Happy Feast of Saint Matthias! Our patron saint’s feast day was yesterday, May 14th. Saint Matthias, as

we remember from Father Dave last year, was indeed a follower of Jesus both spiritually and physically.

He gave himself to Jesus and witnessed all that Jesus did. Our hope and prayer is that like St. Matthias,

we too can continue to follow Jesus every day. We also pray for the intercessions of St. Matthias to see

us through this pandemic, keep us safe and healthy and bring us back together.

As I write this, we have three weeks of distance learning left. Our next steps will be to organize the pick-

up of all student desk and locker items and begin our planning for next year. If you were issued a

Chromebook, we will be providing a checklist for its return. Please expect to return all Chromebooks the

week of June 8, 2020. As we learn more about what the next school year will look like, we will share that

with all of you. Our hope is to be together again!

I am enjoying visiting classrooms and seeing your children virtually. I was happy to visit the K4-4Th Grade

buddies this week and listen to a story read by Mrs. Wehr called This School Year Was Different. The

story reminded children that they are still a class, they are still friends and their teacher is still their

teacher. Another reminder that at St. Matthias, we are still a school.

We continue to celebrate our 8th Grade jokesters with this week’s Winner Winner, Pizza Dinner

Week 3 Hangout Winner! Our 8th Graders spend time together each week! Since laughter is the best

medicine, jokes are shared. Shout out to Mrs. Cottreau for providing the joke this week. The first

student to guess the answer within 5 seconds was Jenna Kasal! Jenna was surprised by a pizza delivery

from Mrs. Cottreau #loveour8thgraders#smile

Can you guess the answer?

What kind of stories do horses tell?

Congratulations!

Please continue to take care good care of yourselves!

Gratefully, Mrs. Earle
