Lists key elements of the project
Project nameProject sponsorBusiness need(Have an interest or a gain upon a successful completion of the project)FunctionalityExpected valueSpecial issues or constraints
Example of Key ElementsKey elements: Project Name: Kinect Technology for Deaf PeopleProject Sponsor: Al Amal institute Business need: Al-Amal Institute already had expressed their interest in the project. Although this product could be required in this institute, we could find many other customers for our product like hospitals, hotels, or other public places. Functionality: A fully implemented system will help the Special Need People in depending on themselves while communicating with their society. Besides, it helps healthy people to understand special needs people.Special issues or constraints:The Kinect for Windows device has new firmware which enables the depth camera to see objects as close as 50 centimeters in front of the device without losing accuracy or correctness, with refined degradation down to 40 centimeters. So, The limits of the depth sensor are 80 cm to 4 m in the default mode, and 40 cm to 3 m in the near mode [9].Slide 3
List Project StakeholdersThe following are examples of the stakeholders.

Feasibility Analysis
Detailing Expected Costs and BenefitsTechnical feasibilityEconomic feasibilityOrganizational feasibility
Example of Feasibility AnalysisSerial No. Feasibility Concern Status Reasons
1 Economical Satisfied Our system will not cost a lot of money for both the developers and the customer when it is compared to other similar systems. For us as developers, The system is composed only of:-One PC ( monitor + database)-One Kinect device -And other simple cables and power adapter for Kinect.
This system helps special needs people to depend on themselves without the need to accompany certain people with them while visiting public places and paying money for them.
2 Technical Satisfied The devices and technologies that the system needs in the hardware side are all available and can be bought easily at any time. But when it goes to the software side, we have to work hardly and developing such system will take a fairly long time. This is because there will be a lot of programming using some algorithms in C# language as well as building a database.
3 Organizational Satisfied The statics result of our questionnaire shows that the majority of both normal and deaf people support the idea of our project. Also, the interview with Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, an adviser in Al-Amal institute, confirmed the importance of our system.

Requirement Analysis-In details
First Step is to determine requirementsChoose any or maximum two of the following techniques:Systems analysts use these techniques
Interviews(Must make an interview with the manager of the Company for which the product to be developed ).You must submit a interview report(scanned)You must submit a interview report(scanned)Questionnaires(Must make Questionnaire-containing Arabic and English)You must submit (a) blank questionnaire,(b) a full graphical report with You must submit (a) blank questionnaire,(b) a full graphical report with statistical analysis (If electronic Survey) (c) three samples of scanned statistical analysis (If electronic Survey) (c) three samples of scanned (filled) surveys---if not electronic alongwith a full statistical report. Using samples of the populationDesigning the questionnaire
Careful question selectionAdministering the questionnaire
Working to get good response rateQuestionnaire follow-up
Send results to participantsShort questionnaire, Report the most important three-four questions in the Report-2?

Document Analysis(Full document of a company…Manual etc to be attached
in Report 2 in the appendix portion)
Provides clues about existing “as-is” systemTypical documentsFormsReportsPolicy manuals
Look for user additions to formsLook for unused form elements

Observation (Pictures and sight visit detailed notes to be attached in the appendix portion in Report-2)
Users/managers often don’t remember everything they doChecks validity of information gathered other waysBehaviors change when people are watchedCareful not to ignore periodic activitiesWeekly … Monthly … Annual
Not advisable to carry out just observation.
SOFTWARE Engineering Methodology to be chosen
(Select a methodology and state reasons for why you chose it, If you have done it in Report-1
don’t need to mention it again)
Why you choose a certain methodology….Reasons….two to three..
