The new company absorbs two ofjthe principal milling plants of thedeity the Crescent and the Climax

which will be run as heretofore butunder one management from theoffice of the Crescent mill on Sev ¬

enth StreetThe officers will be elected later

The two mills have a combined caacity of one thousand barrels of

4 bur a day besides other mill pro ¬

ductsTheconsolidation is a business

move of great importance The op ¬

erating expenses will be lessenedand the capacity increased Onemill is located on the L N andthe other has tracks connecting withboth the L N and 1 C roads

ium leaf Lugs ranged in pricefrom 7 to 10 and leaf from 10 to

18 While there was a falling offin sales over the week b fore the de ¬

mand was lively and this weekssales will probably be much heavierAbout 800 hogsheads of associationtobacco have been sold here in thismonth and it is quite likely that thefigures will reach the thousandmark before the end of the month
