Letters to Sholom Rubashkin

Over the past week the 6th grade English class at United LubavitchYeshiva in Crown Heights took to heart the fact that Shalom Mordchai

Rubashkin is sitting in jail. The students were explained the entire story ofthe Rubashkin ordeal starting from how the plant opened all the way to therecent court cases. A lesson was then giving on writing proper friendlyletters and each of the students wrote a personal letter to ShalomMordechai • Full Story

The letters were edited in class and at home with the help of parents. A big envelopewith all the letters is now being put together and will soon be sent out to Iowa.

The teacher of this class, Yosef Shidler says, "I hope that other classes around theworld will follow this idea; it would be amazing if shalom Mordecai received hundreds ofletters from the Jewish children worldwide."
