First of all I'd like to welcome you to the MOMENT… At this MOMENT, with a faithful and fulfilled heart, I am feel really proud that you open this applicaAon, because even for a second, you though the same as I did one year ago, to lead the genera8on 1617 of AIESEC in Mozambique.

Congratula8ons on deciding to take this brave step! A step for a intense life-changing journey…a step to ensure the con8nuity and existence of powerful and meaningful opportuni8es for the mozambican youth…and believe me, I know exactly how it feels...I've been siKng there and I know the weight of this decision.

I was with a same type document opened in front of me, with a MOMENT mixed feelings, of fear and uncertainty, but on the other part, with a choice in my hands - to choose between: LeFng it happen or to Make it happen! Hiding in my fears or to Face my fears! Believing that it will all be alright or to Ensure that is going to be alright! Between Complaining about it or to Act on it…and I choose to step up and take the LEAD, with all that would come.

I took, on that MOMENT, the decision to be brave enough to face all the issues that would come, but also with the belief that, by being at my best, AIESEC would conAnue to exist for Mozambique.

As you have heard and most probably seen, the job of MCP is one of the most challenging roles that a member can have on the AIESEC.

MESSAGE FROM THE MCP

Rui Correia MCP 15.16

It will come with a lot of tears, sweat, hard-work and non-sleeping nights, but also it will reward you with a lot of fulfilment, professional and personal growth, laugh and remarkable and unforgeOable moments that will prevail upon 8me.

These moments will shape what your future will look like and how the way your life will forever be in a way that you can never imagine.

To LEAD the GEN 16.17 movement means that you will play a crucial role on the start of a 5 year youth movement for this country. You’ll have strong moments within your team, travel the world and come back with a a-mazing different views and perspec8ves on how to lead this movement. Together, with an a-mazing network of MCPs, you will make friends that are sharing the same eager to change the organizaAon for the best but also, that are able to understand the same that your going through…and this will be from the 4 corners of the world. It will be an inner journey that will unleash a beOer version of you that you could ever imagine.

This is a MOMENT of birth of a 5 year movement that starts with YOU. A movement with powerful stories to tell and successful moments to celebrate.

If You are sAll in doubt just ask yourself…if what is holding you is strong enough to keep you from starAng this 5 year movement…if the answer is NO, than the MOMENT is NOW!

Have a wonderful journey and enjoy the RIDE! Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have…

Make the now the primary focus of your life! ~ Eckhart Tolle

The implementaEon of the September 2014 peace deal between Frelimo and the main opposiEon, Renamo, will be a recurrent source of tension and poliEcal volaElity will persist.” … “Peace agreement will be criEcal to ensure future poliEcal inclusion, internal peace and security.”
