La Iglesia de Sto. Toribio Una Parroquia Católica de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago
Kościół Św. TuribiuszaRzymsko Katolicka Parafia Archidiecezji w Chicago
Christ became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted Him and bestowed on
Him the name which is above every name.
Dlatego Bóg wyeyższyl Go nad wzystko i dał Mu imię,
które jest ponad wszelkie imię.

O God, you willed that your Only Begotten Son, having conquered death, should pass over into the realm of heaven. I pray that all your faithful departed servants, who have left this
earthly life, may join your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and gaze eternally on you, their Creator
and Redeemer, in heaven. Amen. The children of the Hebrews, carrying olive branches, went out to meet the Lord, crying out and saying: Hosanna in the highest.

BUNDLE WEEKEND IS COMING
Mark the Date on your CalendarsSaturday May 20th and Sunday May 21st
During this Lenten Season, and hopefully as winter draws to a close, many people are removing excess clutter from their homes, cleaning out closets and cabinets, all in preparation for the Holy
Season of Easter. If you have usable clothing and household items, we at the St. Vincent De Paul Society would be grateful if you would bundle these items in storage/garbage bags and save
them for our Bundle Weekend.
We will have a truck in our parking lot from The St. Vincent De Paul Society on
Saturday, May 20th, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.,on Sunday morning, May 21st from 9:00 to 2:30 p.m.
Someone will be there during these hours to help you unload your donations from your car. Please do not bring items before or after
these hours, because no one will be present to take them from you.
Clothing of any size and type is welcome, as well as household items, dishes, pots, towels, linens etc. Please, no furniture or toys. This merchandise will be taken to the St. Vincent De Paul Resale
Center to be used to assist the people that we serve.
For now, we are just asking that you "SAVE THE DATE" and start saving items for us that you no longer need. Thank you in advance
for your help, and may God Bless you for your generosity to the poor.

Pray the Rosary The Morning Rosary Group of St. Turibius Parish is
extending an invitation to all parishioners to join us in the recitation of the rosary celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Apparition of Fatima in 1917. The rosary will be said on the 13th of May, June, July, August, September and
October of 2017 at 6:00 PM in church.
On August 19, 1917, Our Lady of the Rosary asked “I want you to continue praying the Rosary every day”.
The Morning Rosary Group has been saying the rosary in church for the past 43+ years after the weekday morning
Mass. Please join us as we continue to follow Our Lady of the Rosary’s request.
As I carry home the blessed palms that celebrate Jesus’ victory, how will I embrace and implement Jesus’ gentle, loving
way of bringing about God’s kingdom into my corner of the world?

At O’Hare, the country’s second busiest airport, thousands of working people struggle to make ends meet. They’re fighting for $15 and union rights to make O’Hare an economic engine for the
working families of Chicago, not big corporations.

Parish Mission Statement
We Believe that God is Love, and when we live in love we live in God and God lives in
us! Therefore we, the Parish Family of Saint Turibius, dedicate ourselves to living out
Christ’s Great Commandment: we will love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength, and we will show our love for God
by the way we love and care for one another. To this end, we will respond to our baptismal
call, strengthened by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and empowered by
the Holy Spirit. As a Family of Faith that has an Attitude of Gratitude for the gifts God has given to us, we will share our time, our talent
and our treasure with each other. We welcome into our parish family all people, because we
believe that together we are the Body of Christ and together we can bring the love, peace,
forgiveness, healing, and joy of Christ into our community in ways we never could have if we were to remain apart. May all who meet us, who worship with us, who work and play with
us, know we are Christians by our love!
