July 1970 of Abstracts on the USSR and Eastern Europe
ABSEES is edited and published quarterly at the Institute of Soviet and East European Studies of the University of Glasgow and replaces the former Information Supplement to Soviet Studies. It covers the USSR, Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Rumania and Yugoslavia. Each issue contains up to 1000 abstracts of books, newspapers and journals published in these countries. The wide range of subjects includes arts and culture, education, law, military affairs, politics, religion, science, sociology, agriculture, foreign trade, industry, planning, economic reform, statistical data, etc. Leading specialists from the British academic community are among the contributors.
