KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

Happy Christmas to all my brothers and sisters. We’re in that week between Christmas and New Years when we’re normally surrounded by family and friends. Not all of the people in our lives are so blessed. As Knights, we should be reaching out to those in need and this is when those in need are most vulnerable. Please consider this when celebrating. Someone in your orb could surely use some extra kindness. AS I like to say, we give from our excess. This includes our excess love and support.

Keith Flaherty, Grand Knight, Monsignor Hayes Council

The third section is focused on your health and wellness. The results of the survey will be used to create the four-year Area Plan for Senior Services within El Dorado County. This will include the development of countywide goals and objectives. A six (6) month complimentary subscription is being offered to all interested individuals completing the survey. If you already have a subscription, it will be extended six additional months. Paper copies are available the various locations in the county, including the Placerville Senior Center. NEW YEAR PRAYER

Dear Lord, We pray that this New Year will bring us closer to You. May we take the time to get to know You. Help us to truly celebrate the gifts You have graciously given us and use them to serve You and spread Your word.

May we also see and love you in all the people we meet, so that in turn, they can see You in us.

We know that all human relations take time if they are to grow and deepen. This is also true of our relations with You, the Father and the Holy Spirit, which must grow over the course of our lives. In this new year, let us realize that every action of ours no matter how great or small enables us to be in touch with You. Let us accept You in our lives, in the way it pleases You, as Truth, to be spoken, as Life, to be lived, as Light, to be lighted, as Love, to be followed, as Joy, to be given, as Peace, to be spread about, as Sacrifice, to be offered among our relatives, friends, neighbors and all people. Amen.
