POINSETTIA PLANTS Poinsettia plants are available for purchase again this year in memory or in honor of loved ones. They will be used to decorate the sanctuary for the Christmas Eve services. This dedication will then be in a special bulletin. Following the church services on Christmas Eve, you are encouraged to take your plant(s) home. If you wish to purchase a poinsettia plant, contact Carri in the church office for a form. ORDERS NEED TO BE IN THE CHURCH OFFICE BY DECEMBER 9. 2014 LEFSE & BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER! Starting Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21, 2014 Crown of Glory will host our 7th annual Christmas Bake Sale! There will fresh made lefse for sale at a cost $1.50 per piece as well as other seasonal treats and goodies! To pre-order a dozen lefse for $15, please contact the church office or sign-up at the Welcome Center today Please bring all baked goods for sale by December 20 – 12:00 noon. You may drop goods in the kitchen. . The proceeds from this event will support our senior high youth ministry mission trip and National Youth Gathering to Detroit!

2014-15 WEDNESDAY NIGHT FAMILY DINNERS! Come and enjoy good food, good fellowship and a great atmosphere of friends as youth and their families gather for an evening meal! Dinner begins at 5:15 p.m. and is served until 6:15 p.m. The cost per person is only $4 or $12 per family! Purchase a punch card in the church office and make getting your meals easy each Wednesday night. All are welcome to attend Wednesday night family dinners! MISSION COLLEGE KIDS CARE PACKAGE The date for the next Care Package Event will be Sunday, December 7th. We will meet following the 10:00 a.m. worship service. We would like to send your college, military or trade school student a care package. Please fill out the welcome slip with your student’s address so we can make sure they all get a box! If you would like to drop off items for the boxes or donations for postage, you can drop them in the office and label them College Care Packages. Thanks, Kim

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY FIRST COMMUNION THIS ADVENT We rejoice with all our youth and their families as they experience this powerful milestone in their journey of faith. Students receiving First Communion are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early prior to the start of worship in order to pick-up their communion cup. The communion cups will be located at the Welcome Center. The following students completed their First Communion instruction: Emmy Dvorak, Eva Dvorak, Josie Hauck, Trinity Murdock, Marci Nelson, Calvin Rue, Jacob Ryan and Brynn Vangen. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS Attention all Sunday School age children: Your family is invited to … A Birthday Party for Baby Jesus! Saturday, December 13 from 11:30-12:30 a.m. This is a Sunday School event for Children and their families. The event will take place directly following the the Sunday School Christmas Program dress rehearsal. We will have a simple craft, hear the story of Jesus’ birth, have a light lunch and share cake. Bring a food item for bountiful basket or a gift from the giving tree at church. RSVP to the Church: 952.488.3230 or [email protected] or sign up at church! CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM Save the Date! The Program: Live Christmas Program for the congregation, family and friends: Sunday, December 14th at the 10:00 a.m. service ONLY. Rehearsal: Saturday, December 13th @ 10:30 — 11:30 a.m. Practices: We ask that you help your child practice the lines and/or songs that they were sent in the letter that you should have received in the mail. We will also be practicing during Sunday School. Participants: 3 year olds through 3rd grade Logistics for the 14th: Please arrive 15 minutes early and drop off your child, the assigned bag with their costume and all necessary pieces will be waiting for them in the classroom area. You will receive an assigned bag with your child’s costume to try on at dress rehearsal on Saturday the 13th. The costumes will NOT be sent home, but waiting in your child’s classroom area for Sunday’s program. After the program on the 14th, children will go back to their classrooms for the rest of the Sunday School worship hour, and you can pick them up from their normal Sunday School classrooms. ADVENT SHINE is held during all three worship services. It is open to all children from 3 years – 3rd grade. Our 3-year-old Sunday School is only held at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday services. For questions or more information, please contact Laura.
SEEKING SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS & LEADERS The Children’s Ministry is still seeking Sunday school teacher/leaders for 2014-2015! We offer coaching and training to help get you orientated to a classroom setting! Teachers are not expected to teach all year. Sign up for one or more sessions, according to your schedule! CHRISTMAS GIFT NIGHT On Wednesday, December 17, 2014, Confirmation youth will be going Christmas shopping to purchase gifts for students at the Chaska Elementary School “Holiday Cheer” program. The gifts will be gifted to children in our community! This service project begins at 5:45 p.m. Students are reminded to bring $5 cash; this will be matched by the Confirmation program so that each Confirmation student will have $10 to purchase a gift.

YOUTH MINISTRY SENIOR HIGH NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING 2015! Next summer all 9th-12th grade youth will be invited to attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering in Detroit! The Gathering dates are July 15-19, 2015! There will be a team meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. For more information, contact Pastor Reggie! MEN’S PUB MINISTY IN DECEMBER Men’s Pub ministry is a social ministry for all men of our congregation! Invite a friend! Come and enjoy an evening out with friends or make new friends! PERSONAL PROJECTS WORKSHOP (PPW) A fun event that happens on the last Friday of the month here at Crown of Glory at 7:00 p.m. Bring a project from home (scrap-booking, beading, quilting, etc.). FAITHFUL KNOTTERS The quilters meet on Monday afternoons from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. We would love to have more people join our group to either sew or tie knots. We have quite a few quilts ready to give to someone in need. For more information, please feel free to contact Barb Meyer at 952-217-5357
FAITHFUL KNITTERS Looking for a small group to join? We are a group that likes to do things with our hands. We knit – crochet – sew – etc. Please join the Faithfull Knitters on Tuesday evenings for laughter, conversation, friendship and devotions. Little ones are welcome. (No nursery.) TABLE OF 8 MINISTRY Table of 8 connects members of the church around a meal. Eight people are paired together and given two months to connect, have a meal together, socialize and build connections within our community at Crown of Glory.
