Once again at Christmas, we recall that the name Bethlehem, in Hebrew, means “House of Bread.”
We rejoice that Jesus, the Son of God, born in the town of Bethlehem, remains present in the tabernacle which contains the Eucharist, the Bread of Life.
Our church is a House of Bread - it is the home of the Bread of Life; it is where we are nourished with the Word of God; it is where we are sustained by the fellowship we share with one another; and in our church our collections of food feed and foster our communion with those who are hungry in our community.

Once the church is full, people will be directed to the hall by our ushers.Music before Mass There will be music - and singing of Christmas carols - before all Masses. • The Children’s Choir will sing in the church at 3:30pm.• There also will be music in Creedon Hall - including the

The purple candle is also a reminder that we are still in a season of prayer and penance as we await the birth of our Lord.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
The Psalm at Mass on Christmas proclaims: “A light will shine on us this day; the Lord is born for us!” It is this truth that fills us with joyful hope even in in the midst of the darkness we experience. There is no reason to despair. The Light has conquered the darkness! Our call is to allow this Light to guide us as we strive daily to grow in holiness, faithfulness and integrity.
We are also sent forth each day to radiate the presence of Christ to others. We do so by loving all people without exception, by forgiving those who have offended us and by sacrificially and generously serving those in most need.
Each year we hear the timeless story of the three wise men who set out on a long journey with only a star to guide their way. What tremendous trust they must have had in God, not to know where they were going, but to obey humbly and do as they were asked. What a powerful witness for each of us. May we follow God’s call in our life with trust and obedience, so that at the end of our journey here on earth, we may embrace Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings.
It is my hope and prayer that during this Christmas season and into the New Year, we place our relationship with the Lord as our highest priority and remain instruments of His peace, joy and light in our parishes, homes, workplaces and communities.
The Lord is born for us! May He fill you with abundant blessings this Christmas and always. Merry Christmas to one and all!

Esta verdad nos llena de alegre esperanza aun en medio de las tinieblas en que nos encontramos. No hay motivo para desesperarse. La Luz ha conquistado las tinieblas. Se nos ha llamado a dejar que esta Luz nos guíe en nuestro esfuerzo diario de prosperar en la santidad, la fidelidad y la integridad.
También se nos envía cada día a irradiar la presencia de Cristo a otras personas. Lo hacemos al demostrar nuestro amor a todas las personas sin excepción, al perdonar a quienes nos han ofendido y al servir con sacrificio y generosidad a los más necesitados.
Cada año oímos la historia imperecedera de los tres Reyes Magos que emprendieron un largo viaje guiados solamente por una estrella en el camino. ¡Qué profunda confianza han debido tener en Dios! puesto que, sin saber hacia dónde iban, obedecieron humildemente e hicieron lo que se les pidió. Qué poderoso testimonio para cada uno de nosotros. Recemos para poder seguir el llamado de Dios en nuestra vida con confianza y obediencia para que al final de nuestro peregrinaje aquí en la Tierra podamos abrazar a Jesucristo, Señor de los Señores y Rey de los Reyes.

S T U D Y O V E R V I E WIn November 2019, Good Shepherd engaged with CCS Fundraising, a strategic consulting firm, to test the feasibility of a campaign to imagine the possibilities for the future.
The Study’s objectives were to conduct 40 or more in-person interviews with a representative sample of the Good Shepherd community.
CSS also received approximately 200 replies to a parish-wide electronic survey. The objectives of the study were to: • Assess parishioners’ experience with and perceptions of Good Shepherd;• Gather reactions and advice regarding the proposed campaign priorities;• Test the proposed fundraising goal of $5 million; and• Identify potential campaign leaders, donors, and volunteers.

How to Get StartedIf you’re new to Eucharistic Adoration, you may wonder how to spend the time. Here are some ideas: • Pray the Rosary• Read Scripture or a spiritual reading • Reflect on your favorite prayer• Remember your loved ones and entrust them to God• Pray for others who are in need of prayers• Talk to Jesus as you would to a trusted friend.
