To stay competitive new products have to be developed in theshortest possible time. For that reason errors have to bedetermined in an early state of the development process, sothat cost-consuming iteration loops in the product develop-ment are avoided.

With the help of a simulation-based design in the beginning ofthe product conception it is possible to get new productsfaster to the market - with a benefit in quality and at lowercosts.

But the computer-based simulation not only shortens theexpense for prototypes and testing cycles. With the usage ofsimulation the development process for the whole product lifecycle can be optimized.

So the simulation offers innovative possibilities for e. g.:

• the pre-design of dynamic systems

• the virtual initial operation of plants and components

• the optimization of existing components and systems

• the analysis and elimination of problems in already operating systems (e. g. abrasion or vibration)

Um wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben, müssen neue Produkte inder kürzestmöglichen Zeit entwickelt werden. Fehler gilt esbereits in der Entwicklungsphase zu erkennen, so dasskostenintensive Iterationsschleifen in der Produktentwicklungüberflüssig sind.

Mit Hilfe einer simulationsgestützten Auslegung bereits zuBeginn der Produktkonzeption können die Produkte schnellerauf den Markt gebracht werden – in besserer Qualität und zuniedrigeren Kosten.

In the calculation of complex fluid power-mechatroni-cal systems leading companies from different tech-nology areas and all over the world bank on DSHplustoday.

Apart from a great amount of different technicallibraries (for e. g. hydraulic, pneumatic, thermo-hydraulic, mechanical, control, electrical, or magne-tic components) DSHplus provides a lot of differentmodules for pre- and post-processing. DSHplusmodels base upon an open C++ source code, whichallows the user a better understanding of the systembehaviour and which, of course, can be locked forthe purpose of sharing the models with a third party.

The DSHplus Simulation Tool Chain (STC) allows dif-ferent ways of model im- and export. Besides the dif-ferent interfaces to other software programs thereexist a lot of hardware interfaces for hardware-in-the-loop simulation or for coupled simulation with pro-grammable logic controllers respectively.

Neben verschiedenen Bibliotheken (z. B. für hydrauli-sche, pneumatische, thermohydraulische, mechani-sche, regelungstechnische, elektrische oder magneti-sche Komponenten) stellt DSHplus eine große Anzahlan Tools zum Pre- und Postprocessing zur Verfügung.DSHplus Modelle basieren grundsätzlich auf einemoffenen C++-Quelltext, der dem Anwender ein besseresSystemverständnis vermittelt und der bei Weitergabeder Modelle selbstverständlich gesperrt werden kann.

Die DSHplus Simulation Tool Chain (STC) ermöglichtvielfältigen Modellexport und -import. Neben den diver-sen Schnittstellen zu anderen Software-Tools bestehenverschiedenste Hardware-Anbindungen zur Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation oder zur gekoppelten SPSSimulation.
